  1. Thanks for the good memories, Fark, but this is too much to put up with. I can't trust any of you any more.
  2. You used to be cool, FAN. What happened?
  3. The ants found some red sugary liquid. I had another craving for something sweet, so here I am. Took a sip, tastes pretty good. Drinking more... Delicious... redness... feeling very tired now time for a nap goodnight ................................................................................................................
  4. Ok, guys. This isn't for the queasy, but I just got the footage I took of the battle against the red ant colony. Not for the fainthearted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ERXzCkHJ2cg...feature=related
  5. Morale has been low the last few days. The war took an unexpected twist when the spiders got involved, but my ability to fly makes me awesome enough that I didn't get killed. However, I find that I am ill-suited to the subterranean life. HOWEVER, some industrious ant recovered a half of an oatmeal pie. I already got my share (made sure to get that sweet-sweet filling), and now I don't crave honey so much any more. Also, I'm really glad I didn't have to sting anything in the war. That would've sucked a whole lot.
  6. Is there honey? I could really go for some right now.
  7. Guess what?!? I was saved! Lots of ants dug us out and gave me directions back to the surface. I made it back to the hive to tell my story, but they didn't care! Nobody listened to me, they were all just staring expectantly, waiting for me to start dancing. So I waved my butt at them and flew back to the hill. There was talk of war with a neighboring colony, so I volunteered to do what I could. For the next few minutes I flew back and forth from the enemy colony, dropping big rocks on their hill. Take that, mean ants! One jumped on me when I picked up a rock and stung me. Hah, amateur. He didn't even have to kill himself to sting effectively. #46089 pulled him off me and he exploded! Weird, right? Well, I kept dropping rocks on the enemy anthill, so now there's lots of them swarming all over the place. Back at the hill, I've managed to find a small space to call home. It was off one of the bigger tunnels so I can move faster, though I keep getting yelled at for filling up the entire tunnel with my fuzzy butt. Hopefully the ones abdomen-gating me won't wind up getting stung accidentally. That would suck for both of us. Suddenly, I find myself craving honey. This may be problematic.
  8. #4102 started to help me reach the surface, but it was slow going -- these tunnels are not made for my fuzzy butt. I think that the queen will be displeased with me; I am covered in dirt, so there is little hope of returning to the hive with pollen. I should have stayed in the larval care hexagon. Something happened and #4102 abandoned me. Lots of things that look just like him rush by me; I think something bad happened. Just then, there was a loud noise and the tunnel collapsed. I am now trapped with #1779, #66092, and #389495. Attempts to escape have begun, but with nowhere to take the dirt, I am concerned that we will run out of air before we reach freedom.
  9. Left the hive today in search of carnations: queen is laying eggs again and you know how she gets her cravings. Saw moving flower, followed it. Disaster struck in the form of a rainstorm. I dove for cover, finding a burrow of some sort. Descending deeper and deeper into the ground, I now find myself rather cramped and disoriented. Something named #4102 introduced himself to me, explained that I am lost. Oh, dear. Currently evaluating options. More info to come.
