Not counting the fact that the alliance that took VE's spot is neutral in the war, and thus gaining score while they're taking losses.

Honestly, it takes some resolve and committment to be able to say, "that's fine, I'll chill here in peace mode/ZI until you decide to give my alliance peace," as opposed to choosing to disband and allowing your members to move on without fear of attack. Not that the former is bad, but it's just not for everyone.

Yeah, the other day NPO had 17 nations at 20 days inactive - several of those being nuclear nations.

I don't expect them to reach anywhere near pre-war strength for quite a long time, if ever. They may recover in other ways, but nothing like before.

Bank nations aren't nearly as effective of a strategy nowadays, what with warchests and the sheer amount of money it'd take to repair just a single semi-large nation. Sure, it's good to still have a remaining upper-tier that was untouched by the war so they don't become completely obliterated, but at what cost for the rest of the alliance that has to sit by and watch?

Minus an aid exploit after GWI and a massive aidflow from all your allies after VietFAN.

I remember 80% of the world cheering for your demise, and the majority of these cries from people not aligned to the war in any way. I remember the second FAN war becoming very unpopular. I remember after said unpopularity, these same people now feeling sorry for you and wanting you to receive peace.
