3.
The only reason why I'm still around is because I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger after 5 years. But all of my options suck majorly, so why shouldn't I? What would you do? PS: I have 6 billion dollars, but it seems like a waste of time to fight a solo war for that long.
Heh - with that money, you can likely buy infra to get out of their ranges. Only a few nations could attack you, and most will be unwilling. I'm deleting tomorrow - same sort of thing with a 5 yr old nation, I bought 6k infra to get to 18k and I'll burn what I have left tomorrow on tech just before I delete. EDIT: Wow you are a low-NS nation... Oh well - if you were at 15k or so and then drop 6b on infra you MIGHT get your NS over most potential attackers, but not any more.
4. EDIT: After 3 yrs I see now that I was a bit too full of myself - Sparta was the best Alliance I have ever worked with, and I wish I had never left them. Huge mistake. Tulak isn't really abusive, he is a great guy, and we just rubbed each other the wrong way. Likely because I'm old and stubborn. Anyway, I'm deleting this weekend after quitting Dark Templar and being sanctioned/ZI-listed for desertion. Turns out that if you don't like war and just want to build your nation in peace, you get called names and get pointed out to enemy alliances as a 'good target' for punishment.
5. Does anyone have a good list of who is on which side?
6. You are right, I shouldn't have put that bit about 'sobering up' in the first post. Likely I shouldn't have posted any of this. But I was angry. It will all blow over eventually, and it's just a game, after all. If I got that angry about treatment in a game, I need to re-evaluate things a bit. But hey, you sure find out who your friends are when something like this happens. Even if you dare not acknowledge them publicly because they would get in trouble. You also find out that some folks you might have considered to be friends are not really.
7. It sucks, quite frankly. I really had thought I would be a Spartan forever, and I'm gonna miss them. Overall it's one of the best alliances out there. I'm noticing people assuming this was on IRC - no - it was all in game PMs.
8. I hereby resign from Sparta due to Tulak's abusive nature. He abuses his power and his underlings, and I simply cannot put up with him. Maybe if he would sober up once in a while he would be different. Anyone looking for a very active and detail oriented person that has run the Sparta Academy for over a year and been Ephor of Internal Affairs for nearly that long? EDIT: After 3 yrs I see now that I was a bit too full of myself - Sparta was the best Alliance I have ever worked with, and I wish I had never left them. Huge mistake. 9. Excellent! This is by far the best Alliance I have ever been involved with. Great people and some really great programs. Incredibly helpful and always someone to answer questions, help with whatever issues might crop up, and the potential for advancement is limited only by your initiative.
10. Stylish is an add-in that lets you customize colors, fonts, etc using pure CSS, nothing else. No scripts of any kind are involved, it just applies a CSS style to a website. Is this allowed for CN? While I appreciate the effort that has gone into the main page, I prefer darker sites, so I was considering using Stylish to make the background black and change the text to white or green, etc. I believe this would be legal due to the wording of #7 in the Terms of Service, but I wanted to make sure. Thanks!
11. Bump again - and Sparta is on the Black team now, not the pink.
