1. What do you think your biggest impact on the game is?
  2. Llednar Twem

    Yep

I'm sad to see you go. I hope life treats you well.
  3. I do not believe it is against the rules, although most people pay for tech. If you are not on the same network, I wouldn't worry about it.
  4. What do you mean? I don't like seeing alliances disbanding.
  5. I am saddened to see an alliance leaving the political landscape.
  6.
Thank you to the 6 Umbrella and MK nations which have graciously consented to help me polish my war dancing skills.
You should have taken me up on my offer to help you practice beforehand. Let's commence this nuclear tango. I am wearing my best suit, my hair and beard are perfect, and my shoes are shined. Let's rock.
  7. Teeters, I'd like you to know that I enjoyed working with you in our military, and have always respected you. As for the desertion, that was forgiven a long time ago. I was never upset or angry at it; just a little surprised and disappointed. At least now I have an idea of why you did do it. I echo what Moo has said. It is time for you to move on (if you have not done so already). I hope you find what you are looking for, and wish you the best of luck in the future. The apology is a great gesture, but do not let the past haunt you. You cannot change what you have done, but you can learn from it.
  8. The Flying Circus and the Super Happy Fun Slide are the best named ones. The Time Travel Technology wonder is actually quite interesting and is not like any of the other wonders currently in existence, but it could be argued that it is too powerful to choose your events, and since events are random, it would be quite difficult to code. The Mind Control Device is also interesting, and doesn't suffer from the same problems. The Shrink Ray is just too powerful. Doubling your citizens doubles your collections, so the wonder would have to be quite expensive. The High Heel Factory is just a weaker version of the Pentagon, so it's not really needed. As for the community, I'd say it's evolved, but in a different direction. The players of this game shape its history and future, so if there is something that you do not like about the current climate, then I encourage you to branch out and forge your own piece of history.
  9.
I can't tell whether you're using my post as a convenient jumping off point or whether you just missed the point I was making.
No, I get the point. You were being sarcastic. What I did was take your post, which would be taken literally by some, and make an argument to it. A lot of people think what you said is the truth, and it helps to have something that refutes it because it seems to come up everywhere.
  10.
The fact that NPO has allied some of the same alliances as before proves they are exactly the same as they used to be. If they wanted to show the world that they had completely changed, they should have signed treaties with some of the same alliances as before but different ones. Or something.
If people would actually bother to look at our current list of treaties, you'd see that is exactly what we did. As an example, I don't remember being allied to NSO before the Karma war. If I'm wrong, feel free to point it out. Besides, why ally ourselves with new people when we can return to relations with those that have proven to be loyal and dependable allies? The last time I checked, it was us who determined our foreign policy, not the peanut gallery. Why complain about who we're allied to, anyway? I doubt it affects you in any way, unless you're directly allied to us or are the ally of an ally of an ally of some other alliance a dozen links down the spider web that we call a treaty web.
  11. Welcome to the red team! It's nice to have more people to play with in the sandbox.
  12.
I'm sure you don't.
I'm sure you'd consider any opinion by our members as whining.
  13.
Still nothing on all these pirates using your flag....shame
That's only the first step in applying to our great alliance, my friend!
  14.
Well, the talk isn't the same. Where previously they gloated about how they were in power, now they whine that they are not.
I'd like you to show us where we have "whined", as you so eloquently put it. I don't think Vladimir's essays and our public media releases count as "whining".
You broke terms more times than FAN did.
Well, that makes us evil too! You totally missed Qazzian's point. It really doesn't matter what we do in the future, because some people like to hang onto the past like a slug clinging to a rock. Like you, for instance. You seem to hate us so much that you'd rather let the past determine the opinion of the present.
If you're so tied into events here that you really consider certain alliances truly evil in an OOC sense just because you're opposed to them, I am afraid you may have some serious issues.
I'm sure a large portion of people who play this game have nightmares of the NPO boogeyman coming out from under their bed and devouring them and their children. It's actually quite sad and hilarious.
  15. Congratulations on your promotion, Red. Your work so far makes me think you'll excel in your new position as well. Brehon, Milli, and LS: I've worked with all three of you at some point and know of the devotion that you put into your work and the innovations that you come up with. I wish you luck in whatever you decide to do in the future. o/
  16. Forcing people to do things that you want them to do almost always has the opposite effect; you will turn them away from it. Your cause is a good one, but your method will harm that effort a lot more than helping it.
What we all should do is encourage those with SE nations that want to test the battle but are afraid to make mistakes to come to TE. I always tell new players in SE that creating a TE nation is the best way to gain combat experience and become a great fighter while building up their SE nation peacefully.
This is the best way to go about it.
  17. Congratulations! An anniversary is always a reason to celebrate.
  18.
The war was declared 7-8 months after Gladius had left GATO and deleted. Obviously it was not his rapid ascension that gave him away.
Really? I'm going to have to go look this up.
  19.
But something had to have prompted the check. Somebody didn't just up and say "Hey, remember that guy who was in GATO gov 8 months ago? Let's check and see if his IP matches Chris Kaos'!"
A quick ascension to government would be something worth checking out. I'm not even sure if that is how it happened, to be honest. I am too old.
  20.
But this is really ancient history. It's pretty clear that GATO and NPO have both moved on from this situation. Why can't the rest of the world?
Grasping at straws. Once we've come out of terms and "paid for our past crimes", they will have nothing on us.
  21.
I do wonder how NPO found out about it though. I guess they must have "accepted information".
Or you could read the second sentence again. It is quite easy to check IPs on IRC.
