Elected democratically does not make him not a dictator. What I know from personal experience and my careful watch of his long and "quiet" CN career, I would consider him a dictator and the reason that The Gramlins will eventually find themselves in a bit of a pickle down the road. Knowing he is that close to the top of Gramlins says enough. Good luck.

Hello Planet Bob! I will keep this short and sweet so that you may happily go back to reading poetic posts by Schattenmann, laughing at the moronic statements made by small alliance Emperors with no concept of leadership and hailing your brains out rather than adding relivant input to a conversation. Ether is one year old. We are one of those little alliances you forgot about 12 seconds after we posted our Declaration of Existence because you assumed we would last about 3 weeks. Happy Birthday us. I will go through the obligatory hails and such. Or you can just click the back button... whatever makes you happy. Thanks to VI and Hormones of FACE for being our faithful ally for pretty much our entire existence. Thank you Johnny and JoshuaR of MFO for also being faithful allies for the last 6 months. Those two smaller alliances have shown more honor, respect and loyalty than most. Thanks to the black sphere as a whole, especially NOIR which we are honored to have been able to be a founding member of and continue to enjoy our equal voice and power in the ring with Sparta. Thanks to Evey Jane of Evey Jane who without, I could not have founded Ether nor would it be afloat today. Fun Facts: Ether is 1 year old. Ether's 6 month was celebrated on the day the NPO-OV war went Global. Ether is pushing 30,000 NS avg (360,000 needed, we have like 358,500ish) We sat at 44 nukes for like, 4 months because our third nuclear nation's ruler left for basic for 4 months and his wife couldn't figure out how to buy nukes. Ether's Members parent more kids than we have members. Hey now, this is an unfair stab at smaller alliances. There are many established alliances smaller than 2 million NS that are better than a good bit of the established larger than 2 million NS alliances (though the same is vice versa). Choosing an alliance, as you also hinted, is a difficult process. Many rulers join alliances for the wrong reasons, then end up jumping around for months until they find one they enjoy. Yes, alliances are very important to keep you safe (mainly because peace mode stunts your growth a lot). You obviously seem to not be jumping after the usual bait many alliances use (AID AID AID). Talk to an alliance and their members/recruitment department. If you want shelter, but not to join them just yet, request permission to ghost their Alliance Affiliation (and promise to not tech raid or cause trouble) for a week or two. I've found this to be a good way at determining whether an alliance is interested in you, or if they are just interested in your stats. I see you've visited the NOIR forums. This is a great place for you to find trades while you look for an alliance... plus there are 26+ alliances who you can interview. Also, you'd be surprised how many of them will go to bat for you with protection while you look for a home just by talking to them.

Good read, as always. Fort Pitt will be happy to have gotten quoted in here. I must comment, however, that your alliance NS doesn't match your age (though I do understand what you were implying).

First off, I've read the entire thread, so don't be crying about quoting from the first page. I've been involved in alliance governments since my 3rd week on Planet Bob. Rule number 1 for the Minister of Defense position and the same for MoFA is that you NEVER let someone who cannot maintain professionalism in that role. Period. Thats how wars start. If you were my MoD, you'd have been out as soon as you said that. I have little kid members that complain and cannot put together a sentence if their lives depended on it. I've had to cover for one member raiding an alliance 2 times. Its frustrating, but not impossible to be mature and try not to add to the issue. Additionally, Myworld is absolutely right. Once you kick someone from the alliance, the rules don't apply. Also, it goes from an INTERNAL affair to a public one if you declare war. Him not removing his AA doesn't make it internal, it just makes him a ghost... but your 24 hour timeline kinda ruined that excuse. Redneck violated the code as much as Deer did, if not more. Declare war? I'm looking to see him kicked from the alliance since thats the first thing you did to Deer. One post from the SoL gov't saying "He violated policy" and then never again posting would have made this so much less than it was. Finding allies is going to be harder now. Also, if Ether ever has to deal with SoL on a military topic, I will probably refuse to talk to Redneck about it. This is a great example to show why I emphasize maturity when I recruit members and install gov't members.

It was posted on the OWF a while back. About half of CN read it. The fact that nobody can seem to recall it just shows that while some found it as a legitimate threat worth worrying about, majority didn't or simply don't care. The only issues NOIR has ever had with any signatories are those that don't communicate their problems to the general body. Whether they be grudges, internal issues, etc. Every single alliance that has a strikethrough on it in the wiki didn't want to communicate with the bloc in some way or another, and left/disbanded on their own accord. The remaining 20+ alliances are communicating fine and are very sad to see BTA go. The motto proposal MD gave us doesn't work anymore with their departure: BTA, your contributions and company will be missed on the NOIR boards. o/
