I don't force people to break up trade circles until they're ready. "important" was put there for a reason quotation marks dummy
I'm really not sure you should be calling me the dummy here. Your implication that AGW was less than important because the speed in which they signed a MDoAP with you was made by you, not by me.
Honestly, no one "important" moves fast. AGW is a great alliance to have a treaty with. Not sure what you were expecting.
Did you just call AGW unimportant? That's a pretty crappy thing to say about your only treaty partner... Hello Foot? Yeah, it's Mouth. Wanna come over?

Siberian Tiger Alliance Announcement
Micheal Malone replied to Tygaland's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
I've somehow managed to fight against STA in most of the wars I've been involved in. My condolences on the treaty cancellation. No matter what could be said about your alliance, not honoring your treaties isn't one of them. (Double negative, sorry) I'm sure it was a tough choice, and hope that you become stronger for it in the end. -
Um, mrcalkin asked to be demasked too. I was asked to reconsider by even yourself. Holy lol. I was still posting when JA did it. Stop trying to asscover. It's very unbecoming. Hell, what triggered it is mrcalkin told me to get out. I hate him.
So wait... someone you hate, tells you to get out... and your response is "Ok....". That is amazing leadership quality. I'd have told him to sod off. I guess now I understand better your references to you being milquetoast previously... but that's not milquetoast, that's down right soggy bread.. Glad to see you're having a backbone and starting some drama, sad to see it's like buck shot scattered everywhere around you and not honed in on one target.

Problem with all these Recruitment Messages

I hear that NG and her allies are war-mongerors... you might look into them. -
A bit of "saving your own skin" eh? Interesting move.

Congrats Barti! Glad to see you are still around

So Saturday then, not Friday. Gotcha.

There are other words for taking things by force without the consent of others.... Pillage for instance?

Or... some who has read it of their own accord could provide him the info. Me personally, I like to make people work for it.
-
Hmm, you were still at war? Hard to tell. Congrats on the peace though!

I resent this title. But congrats on the milestone. I will take our royalties in 50 tech packages soon. -
This has been an eye-opener.
Welcome to CN, we're glad to have you, first you should probably join an alliance and learn the ropes.
Thanks Mister! It sure is nice to have people like you around to right a lost soul like myself! -

Will the Real Ragnarok Please stand up?
Micheal Malone replied to Yukon Don's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
I read all 33 pages and the only shred of anything useful to come out of it was two ignores. -
The saddest part about all of this is the timing... here I was just getting enough support to start a dragon themed block to battle the vikings with...
Did they even nuke? I've heard they didn't.
Only the guys in the last round. And even then only partly. I was mightily disappointed in this war.
Why not? Very few people are being anywhere near objective, so even if your opinion is completely back-assward it could potentially be multiple times more enlightening than some of the others floating around.
Not true, I think some people have been very objective. As well as being subjective. You can only assume that they base their knowledge on the summation of their experiences. For instance, in the entire war with FARK, I had only 1 round where my opponents did something other than turtle. And on half my targets I was the only one on them holding them from peace while others recovered then took back over... Would I say overall FARK performed well this war? I would not, would I be justified in my summary that FARKs war ability was somewhere between slim to nothing? Sure would. That's me being objective and subjective. Besides, the entire reason I created the thread was so people could do just what they've done. Share their views and discuss. And while we all don't agree, I think the thread has been a rousing success in debate over the ability of alliances. Perhaps the Top 40 was too selective, but it had to start somewhere.

An Announcement from the Mushroom Kingdom
Micheal Malone replied to Leet Guy's topic in Alliance Announcements (IC)
At first, I was thinking "You know, all this hostility towards FOK! and they've been quiet. Can the leadership really be that bad that people are condemning the entire alliance?" and then I remember that it's a democracy. So I guess if you really dislike the leadership... meh. Personally, it's sad to see. Hope that two great alliances can work things out, and if not, at least part ways amicably. Or did someone pee in someone's Wheaties and they didn't make a 34 page long thread about it? -

It was a pleasure to do business with you all. -
/snip/ I get everyone around here loves to toot their own horn...but.... Who are we trying to fool saying Sparta didn't get off relatively (hell, I'd go further and say considerably,) well compared to their other allies?
Getting of relatively/considerably easy does not constitute victory. It means their opponents were either slack, or feeling generous. Take your pick. In no fashion does it mean Sparta won anything, and the more they try to spin it that way, the more they cement a very long hard war for them next time.

This was something I went round and round with for people a few times. And I think setting a rate forcing alliance wide is silly. Basically what we have here is the buyer being a scrooge and wanting to keep someone else down longer so they can continue to buy tech from them. When I lead ISSF & Orion the setup was 3/50. And we didn't have issues with finding buyers. Sure, it's less efficient for the buyer, but you know whats even LESS efficient? When you have empty slots because there aren't enough tech sellers at 3/100. So instead of being generous to someone trying to rebuild, you'd rather hoard your cash and let a slot sit empty until you can find a precious 3/50. Nevermind the fact that if you bought 50 tech on your own, without a tech deal, you would have spent extremely above your rate. So, when it comes down to it, and you have 3 aid slots open, and all you can find is 1 3/100 and 2 3/50's are you gonna sit with empty slots killing your efficiency? Of course not. With all that said, my alliance apparently agrees with you, so meh.
