  1. So, just shy of seven years it's time to go. There are people out there that I will miss, and others who seemed genuinely like they should stop breathing.

Much love and respect for the friends I made along the way! From ISSF and all the fallen comrades who didn't make it this far, to Orion and the brothers we grew to know. To the iFOK crew and all those who rolled with me. And to the compatriots in Non Grata.

It's been one hell of a ride.

  2. A downgrade is quite a different bird from a cancellation, you know that.  Grow up, changes in treaties get announced.

I for one applaud GOONS, as any AA, for cancelling a treaty that was no longer viable without regard to the AAs involved.

Wait... so it was ok to not announce the downgrade or it wasn't? Cause a downgrade is a change in the treaty. Just curious.

  3. Maybe I'm just biased...

    Tri - MikeTheFirst, Stewie, KingXander

Not simply because they're part of NG (or were at this point), but because they're all super capable and well-liked individuals. The three of them teaming up to run an alliance would be unstoppable.

  4. I've always enjoyed RV's posts, even when I disagree with him.

Rotavele on the other hand... deserves to be high upon the list. Aside from the stat thread he started, there hasn't been any memorably good posts from him.

  5. Polaris hit \m/ and specifically did not form a coalition, did specifically request all allies to remain out of it and specifically allowed for a situation where \m/ could enlist the help of the two alliances who said they were rolling to help without outside interference.   I very politely told \m/ of that situation well before we attacked, I communicated it clearly in my DOW and to be completely honest did not participate in any coalition planning that took place afterwards except where it suited my ulterior motives that arose via an unprecedented opportunity...  my slots are full but I will take your donation when they open.

Other people formed a coalition, they had their agenda which was served by my first move.  Polaris did not recruit them, Polaris did not make the first move towards enlisting them and Polaris had no control over what happened once they got their team together... except to screw them over at the first possible opportunity.

Bi-Polar was the best thing to ever happen in the last few years and now it gets me 50 tech?

As for your hypocritical sledge, Polaris has utilized a coalition to win a number of wars, wars we were at the forefront of.  We had many and varied enemies for those wars from the incompetent to the cream of the crop.  We did what we had to to win those wars.  Polaris has largely been an open target for a long time, and apparently we are so dastardly and clever that we continue to provide the greatest threat to world security, the greatest affront to the scumbags on the other side and the most arrogant and defiant alliance that we draw the ire of all and sundry.  What a lot of warm turd.  People target Polaris because they aren't good enough to target anyone else, they bring numbers so overwhelming to our doorstep time after time because they are so terrified of one single alliance with no top tier, continually charge them reps beyond the scope of most alliances to keep them down because we are such a threat?  Yeah right, we are so scary aren't we.

Arrogant, sure I am, you have done nothing to prove me wrong ever.  We don't run away, we will never run away and we certainly will never bend our knee to scum alliances who refuse to accept we are all not poo flinging monkeys escaped from the drug testing labs of a university somewhere near you.  We not only survive, we thrive.  Must really piss some people off?

I'm not the one who was chest-thumping for a 1v1, that was Starfox, I was merely pointing that it's never happened for Polar except in the case of a micro. Now as for your saying that you declared on \m/ so you win the tech, let's check statistics...

As you can see from this post that would not count. Care to try again?

Also, and I'm confused here. In your post you say people bring overwhelming numbers because they're terrified (though to be honest, that seems sarcastic), and yet you've also stated that you've been part of multiple coalitions to survive, and have yet to show me a scenario where Polar went 1 vs 1 with a comparable alliance.  I mean even if I allowed \m/, which I'm not because \m/ was a micro, but for arguments sake we'll consider this; at the time of declaration that you appear proud of, you were more than five times the side of your opponent. Brave little alliance that could, right?

Ok, well that sums this up. That 50 tech is still waiting of you can show me a 1 vs 1 that wasn't against a micro.

    Edit:

After further review, I'll even give you the tech since an 8.0 score in todays alliance stats shows 2mil NS. Hit me up in-game when you have a free slot and I'll get you the 50 tech.

However, the remainder of my point stands.

  6. I have watched and read this thread with great amusement but seriously NG, think about what you are saying.

Your line has over and over been that we should have ignored our treaty with Sparta so you could enter on the winning side.
Guess what, you could have ignored yours with TLR if you really wanted!
I really don't give a crap if I screwed up your post war coalition plans.
Don't come crying we wouldn't do exactly what you wouldn't do yourself and ignore a treaty!

Our treaties are no secret, we honour them. I said it before that war, during that war and after that war. Nothing has changed. We didn't enter that war to get at Umbrella or anyone else including TLR or yourself, we entered to help our allies and friends.

Now carry on with your posturing because you don't want facts getting in the way of a good story :D

Oi, I don't fault you at all for backing your treaty partner. I applaud you for it. As far as us ignoring TLR, not likely. We made it perfectly clear we were going to back whichever treaty partner got hit first otherwise we were going to stay out, hence the undeclares that happened when the coalition attacked etc. Also, don't get me wrong, I rather enjoyed our battles back in the days of iFOK. You guys were fun enemies for the most part. I don't believe I've stated (or even implied) that you should have ignored your treaties. Nor do I think another member of Non Grata has (though I've only skimmed the last couple of pages instead of reading intently as I did earlier in the thread).

Polaris will never change, ever.  You call us out by accusing us of something, we will respond to your poo flinging the same as we always do.  It is something bewildering to me, Polaris goes out of its way to make things interesting in a world of the most boring people stuck in their own collective bog hole, and as a result draws the perma target card.  Meanwhile some of the world's greatest cowards constantly invent new ways to form the largest flash mobs to prevent anything interesting actually ever happening.  Bring back the MK overlords, at least they got it.... if only for short periods coinciding with rise and fall of their medication levels.

As for NSO & NPO and their continued assertions that Polaris broke it all, your untidy little alliance with NG and your plans to rule the world post-war had a whole lot more to do with your failures than we ever did.  Please do continue to think that Polaris is here for your convenience and to further your goals.  Polaris will however remain committed to its own goals and those of her allies, you know those ones we actually entered your side to assist.  Not your bunch of wannabe disco dancers, but our allies.

We have not changed address, we are not too hard to find,  beat your drums and thump your chests some more.  We are not going anywhere and we never will as long as this world has oxygen for you to thieve.

I'll just highlight that. For a well-versed alliance leader as yourself, you shouldn't be unfamiliar with the phrase "the nail that sticks out the most gets hammered". Polaris, regularly, goes out of it's way to act arrogant. As you stated, it makes things interesting for you. As a result you draw the target card, which makes things interesting for others.

As far as the coalition comment, I'll point you to my previous post linking to your wiki. Could you direct me to any war that Polaris went 1 vs 1 with an alliance (aside from some micro that you flexed on)? If you do, I will gladly come out of pocket and ship you 50 of my very precious tech personally. Sling the mud all you like, but you know as well as I that Polar has thrived in coalition warfare her entire life. Hypocritical much?

  7. I wasn't merely talking about us. I should hope you could defeat my nation. It's probably my 15th. What I said was if you are going to openly call for someone's destruction, man up and act alone. You sniveling cowards are going to go play backroom politics and try and get people united against us, all the while spouting off tough guy nonsense. You aren't tough if you can't back up your words alone. If NG is going to roll Polar, come do it.

That clearly is cause for concern. A historical \m/ member pretending to be in Polar?

Declare war! Or, you know, use some common sense.

    "Once you resolve this"

That means one this is resolved between all parties. Anyway, that was just a personal offer to an old friend, meant heavily sarcastically given majority of that side still has not forgiven Polar over past actions.

Apparently I've become the new Head of Recruitment and a half hearted offer is official alliance policy!

I shiver at the thought of ever getting involved in alliance politics again...

Like I said, make it happen. All of you are cowards for calling for the destruction of Polar down the road. It essentially reveals that you will play the backroom coward route and kiss ass until you can make it happen. If that's how it goes, then let it come. Polar will bend but won't break. It's happened multiple times and Polar still sits as the third most populous alliance.

In the end though, I will be confirmed right for calling all of you backroom cowards who couldn't back up what you said initially. I guess I'm weird. I've always been a man of action and straight up. This new breed of cowards throws me off with how rampant it is among them.

Some people don't understand that alliance policy should and will trump coalition policy.

Look, I get what you're asking to be hit at this point, you want to trigger defensively and play the "we're the victim of the big bad bullies" card, but this constant "You're backroom cowards" is getting a bit retarded. It's like you glom on to the one thing that you think sounds witty. Have you forgotten the number of coalitions that NpO has been a part of?

Here, let me provide you a link: http://cybernations.wikia.com/wiki/New_Polar_Order - If you go through and review every war NpO was a part of that was a victory, what does it have in common? Hint, it wasn't 1 vs 1. I won't even point at the shenanigans you've pulled on some of your own allies, I mean if you weren't being backroom about that they'd have known right?

The reason Pacifica and others have been able to take their licks and move on and recover is quite simple. They got punched in the face a few times and realized "Oh, hey... we should settle down for a bit."  The reason Polar has been on the receiving end of some ass beatings the last few wars is simple: arrogance.  For some reason Polar believes her poo don't stink. Instead of taking the time to settle down and actually recover from the wars, Polar leadership talks trash every chance they get and reminds everyone why they should be punched in the face again.

But please, keep up with the blowhard status. At least it's entertaining.

  8. Competence. It's funny you can't see it as your coalition liked to call itself that.

Lets not argue about the people; argue stats, numbers, and treads and they don't lie.

You're right, let's not argue stats. The fact that an alliance almost half your size has better stats across nearly every category. I mean, stats don't lie, right?

  9. Could have fooled me. You generally bandwagon for every alliance on that side for some reason. It cracks me up when people defend a side over political reasons. Are they your allies? No? A little political independence could go a long way for you.

It's just a part of his campaign to get this side to like him. Never works for anyone, but it is amusing to see him try it with such vigor.

Again, should we back down from NG's comments? Polar didn't come in here picking fights. NG won't start a fight on their own either, so this is getting more attention then it should.

Just another backroom coward acting tough in public.

No, they came in here offering to harbor rogues, whether sarcastically or not I cannot tell. Keep trying that victim role though.

  10. What happened to the days where if you aided a nation at war then you either paid up double or got included a war target for awhile.

Aiding a rogue is never a good thing.

I believe that's why Caustic has issued this warning. We've been "understanding" about it happening already, now it's beyond understanding.

  11. GATO managed to declare 16 offensive wars in a period of two months while its ally and blocmate burned. Sixteen. In two months. You are a non-factor, a rounding error in war statistics, unable to do even the most basic of allied functions. Have you asked yourself what exactly your alliance is good for? Have you wondered if your allies have asked themselves the same thing? Given that your uselessness is axiomatic at this point, I have to say I truly believe that, at the end of the day, it is you and GATO that no one cares what happens to magicninja.

I just wanted to take the time to clear up this fallacy.

Looking at the war records, in the days from Januar 18th - March 27th (dates taken from Wiki page), GATAO declared 186 offensive war slots and had 230 defensive war slots... Soooooo about that point you made.

    Edit:
Also, those 186 declarations came from roughly 75'ish nations. Give or take a couple due to tired eyes.
  12. I'm curious how long an aid package remains marked as "approved" in the aid stats download. I see that some of my old aid transactions are set as expired as they should be, however I have an aid transaction in the logs that is almost 20 days old and still is sitting at the "approved" status, however in game it does display expired properly.
