New alliance announcements are a spectacle (See any micro alliance creation) So what you are saying is we shouldn't bother having an OWF and Alliance Announcements forum because of bad faith posting? New treaties are "no ones business but the parties involved", same as cancellations. War declarations would be the same. Should we stop those because it makes one party look weak? Any reason you can find for cancellations being no one else's concern can be applied to war, peace, new treaties and virtually every other single announcement.

Grudges and hurt feelings fuel the world.

Fark and Fan were offered a pretty sweetheart deal that they are free to accept or decline, but it needed to be made clear it was their doing and their decision if they don't take that offer and instead get stuck with less easy terms.

Some alliances have been provided a deadline, after said deadline expires, there will be additional terms. No subtlety at all. I doubt it will be reps though, it will be worse. When someone offers you the option in a completely losing war to surrender with no terms beyond re-entry, and you need time to think, it must not be time for the war to end. When it is time for you, maybe it won't be time for us to want to see it finished yet. Maybe you'll get to enjoy another 30 days of peace mode, since it's so loved. Maybe Aid will be restricted.
