So I start with 14 nukes. I get hit by 3 nations. They spy 1 nuke. I have 13, I go to nuke all 3 nations (as we are on the stomped side). It takes 5 nukes to get all 3 opponents (SDI), I am at 8 nukes. I rebuy 1. 9. Next day, another lost, 5 to nuke all 3, rebuy 1. I now have 4 nukes. After 2 days.
You don't see the issue with that? From Day 3 on, I can buy and fire one nuke and have a 60% of nuking 1 person.

Limiting nukes to 1 per 1K infra would give a huge boost to recruiting alliances and the curbstomping side of a war. As it stands, the ability to drop nukes is what keeps the outnumbered side from being rolled until people get tired of it (as they continue to take good amounts of damage from the nukes)

RoK's treaty is a non-chaining MDP, from what I read.Not that it matters.

NSO and RoK will defend each other militarily in the case of an attack upon one another. Should the attack be due to any other treaty, defense is not mandatory but encouraged.

Thank you for that little nugget of information. That makes things worse for STA, meaning no upper tier at all at all by the end of the war.
Also, I would look at % of NS in upper tier (and PM, by extension) rather than % of members.
71K out of 1.4 million is about .5% of their NS
3.5 million out of 6.6 million of NPO's top tier is still existing and in pm. This would be over 50% of their NS. Big difference

STA has 2 members above 70k NS at this time with a member count of around 86. Based on member counts alone, NpO has an upper tier to alliance ratio of 2.3%. STA has 5 members above 50k NS, a ratio of 5.8%.
NOW STA has that. We left them with 1 nation at 71K (who refused to leave pm and has since been ejected and deleted) and no one else above 40K. All these nations have rebuilt to have 1 nation above 40K. Also STA had 95+ nations at the time of surrender. So roughly 1% of their nations were above 40K

In other words, once peace is attained for Doomhouse member alliances, the natural state of things is that you begin planning a war against NPO. What exactly would be different after this war?
You are aware that 2012 is after the VE-NpO conflict right? At no point have I see anyone, from lowliest footsoldier to Archon himself claim that it would be immediate war against NPO once the current (at the time) conflict was over. NPO will always be a target for some people based on their past behavior towards those other parties and their friends.
Who's to say what the planning for that war would entail? I, personally, am always planning for war. Importing tech, maintaining alliance relationships, watching, waiting. This does not mean that war is imminent, just that competent people are well prepared.

Keeping 300 in war for 2 years for trumped up soldier count violations is ok for the game.
Keeping 800 at war, because they refuse to accept BETTER terms than the ones given to the first 300 mentioned is bad for the game.

If this is political and not a war game, 1 month of fighting and then no terms should be the most effcient way to get past the present war and allow them to politic again.
Also the long term trend in membership numbers also coincide with the inflation of nations above 100-200K. Is that the cause? If so, I would suggest that destroying a few more may bring in more players. That is just as likely as the fact that people like you and Haflinger feel the game can't function without the NPO "braintrust" telling you what to do. Get off the teat and find a new master.

People hiding all of their strength and letting their small nations duke it out isn't helping the game either. Based on your last 2 wars, who really cares if NPO takes part, as they just hide their top tier in peace mode.
That's why the terms were set the way they were in karma, that's why you aren't getting off this war without taking some more hits with your dove nations.

If you entered to preempt Pacifica and thereby assist VE, then why is this war still going? How does grinding Pacifica into dust help VE win the Polar war now that it's over? They won, and you won over here.
No, it's clear that the Polar war was nothing more than the long-awaited excuse to roll NPO. That's the only rationale behind the terms you offered for Pacifica; You're upset that you weren't able to smash into dust every single last one of their nations. So you literally wrote it in as a prerequisite for peace.
I think it's been stated many many times that the war continues because mass use of PM to avoid fighting isn't a precendent Doomhouse wants to become prevelant.
You are being disingenous to imply you have no idea what their reasons are.

I did not have Ohio State winning
In fact, my pay bracket still has 3 of my final four picks remaining. Connecticut, Florida and Kansas. Syracuse was my lone loss from that esteemed group so far.
LUCKILY, as long as UNC loses to Kentucky and if Florida OR Connecticut can make the Final Four, I win money.
