Your soldier count went down because it no longer based on modifiers but the real number of soldiers you have. So the +15% of your pigs for example has been minus from your soldier count.

It is indeed normal. The trade bonus does not follow when you switch teams, you will need to resend the trade offer if you want the bonus back.
