I would like to join Circle 5. I do not mind changing color to Orange. I check the game more often than forums, about once a day. All my trades have been canceled (manually, not sanctions) so if my nation and resources are good for your purposes, then just ask the other nations to send me trade requests. Is the Manhattan Project a prerequisite for the Mars base? Right now, the only available wonders for me to build are the Project and the Moon base - no option to build on Mars. EDIT: never mind. I'm big enough on NS that my warchest still isn't enough to buy the Mars base. Way too high a cost and way too random the benefits to blow my entire warchest on even the moon base.

It should also be noted that practically all of the leadership (the high-profile ones anyway like Trotsky and Bakunin) are in war. That said, the point of the OP is really moot as the daily fall in NPO NS has been constant so far. The handful of nations that came out of peace mode recently ensures that there won't be much change in that index.

I'm actually quite impressed that radio silence has been successfully enforced by NPO up to the present moment. With all the talk of 85% peace mode, meatshields getting battered, and TOP/Sparta passing NPO, there hasn't been the slightest squeak from the alliance. Aside from the odd vocal dissident (I assume there must be ex-NPO in Karma POW, but they are keeping their counsel too?).

A bit late, but very lenient and friendly terms. The part about leaving enough nukes (to deal with rogues I assume) is good.

I don't think people are reacting to his surrender. It's that last line which says he'll attack his former alliance that riles people up.

Well said. A nation should not join an alliance purely to hitch a ride with the biggest lion in the woods at that moment.

While it may - just may - be possible to rationalize surrendering somehow ("my precious infra"!; "everybody else is doing it"; "I hate losing")... I'd very much like to know the justification of asking aid from the other side to attack your erstwhile alliance. As others have said, very poor form. You're probably the first nation to try to pull this on his own alliance on either side. An alliance would be in their full rights to ZI you - you are no better than a rogue if you actually act on your words.

I think it is clear that the original theme of this thread has been proven to be very much a minority opinion, since even the OP's own alliance granted white peace to TPF, one of the alliances which canceled their MADP with NPO.
