  1. Because alliances are too chicken!@#$ to make wars more even nowadays. They also go out of their way to ally a good chunk of the alliances that were on the opposite side, thus giving us the tangled treaty web we currently have. Add in the massive inactivity of most alliances nowadays as well as the fact that a sizable portion of CN are adults with full-time jobs or full-time college and bam.

  2. That is pretty much the par-for-the-course NO U reposnse I would expect. The Rush who is not in gov, is vastly different from the one who was in gov. It is okay for you all to forget that, I do not mind. The freedom that retirement has given me (freedom from the bonds of having to worry about how my words would effect our sphere, or our ally's tertiary spheres) allows me to be much more of a straight shooter than I ever was. It does not mean I forget how gov should act.

It has become quite important to your little sphere of friends to paint me as some stark raving lunatic. A lot of effort for a guy who does not mean much, no? There are differences between opinion and fact. This entire blog and every comment around it is about my opinion. There are enough people who really know me, though. Who know that I do not arrive at willy-nilly opinions, they are shaped by real discourse, real words and real actions. As such, for you to comment on my opinion about Marx vs my opinion on NG, is akin to a blind man telling me what color tie I should wear. You have no idea my interactions with both entities in question, but you are quick to assume that it is unimportant.

In a nutshell... that kind of attitude is what is wrong with your silly little alliance.

What attitude? I basically acted like you did but apparently it is okay when you do it? I have not been gov in a long time (IAA in fact so like around 3 years ago). So yeah, I don't mince words either and am pretty much a straight shooter. I have read much of your discourse, which is how I arrived at my opinion of what you posted. You seem to think you are the only one capable of doing such... Or maybe seem to think anyone in MI6 is incapable of such rationalization either.

I have interacted a lot with NG and watched as they cried to NPO about TIO being mean to them on their forums (back when I was in TIO). So yeah, my opinion of NG is going to be drastically different than yours. So, to assume that Marx is basically an idiot because his interactions with NPO differ from yours (thus his opinion of NPO differs from yours) has to be intentionally stupid on your part. Particularly given what you posted in reply to me.

Also, yes my reply was basically a "no u" simply because putting effort into an actual reply to what you posted was not worth it. Your post had very little substance to it whatsoever except to try and act as a long-winded ad hominem towards Marx. In fact, your reply to me held very little actual substance except to confirm what I already knew. You are a retired guy who is a loudmouth. Whoopdi-do.

Why don't you go back and read my first reply in this blog if you wish to hold some actual discourse. Instead you apparently ignored it most likely because it does not conform to your opinion of MI6 and her members.

  3. It is like you are intentionally ignoring the point. I would invite you to go ask around among those not in the Platysphere... and even among some of those in XX sphere what exactly it is they think about your alliance... and why.

You talk down to literally everyone. And let us be honest, you blatantly and smugly point out "poaching" members (I really hate the poaching argument, but lets be flipping honest, LOTS OF ALLIANCES CARE ABOUT IT.) It is like it never ever occurred to you, or to any of your poached members, that you should probably STFU about poaching and let it go away, rather than embracing it and using every last opportunity to remind specific alliances of your successful wresting away of their members(this will shock you Myth, but when you remind ONE alliance of a poached member, you have reminded all of them.) Then for others, it is that you act like you have single handedly conquered the world, when you have done (are you ready for this...) NOTHING. It is why I repeat to earn your smug before you flaunt your smug. Your alliance, to be COMPLETELY blunt, is trying VERY hard to be the new MK, only you have not one iota of personality, not one strong figure who can be looked at with a wide degree of respect from nearly everyone. These opinions are not mine, they are COMMON among a large portion of the planet. This will fall totally on deaf ears because your entire alliance is made up of members with a sole purpose being to "land that zinger on anyone who doesnt like us." There is a time to shut up , put your head down and change a rotten image, instead you choose to believe the image is made up, and ignore what is so plainly obvious to so many people. I will await your reply with the aforementioned zinger about TLR inactivity,. Rush and pink elephants, or Rush thinks he know everything from 2 year old Skype calls.

The reasons for the almost universal disdain of your alliance are many. I am personally quite happy that you choose to believe the reasons are none.

I get the poaching bit. And from what I have seen, we have stopped. We do it jokingly with friends we have in other alliances now or to mock those (like you) who are now the ones constantly trying to remind others of what MI6 has done in the past.

The smugness. Yes, we are a smug alliance. It reminds me of the South Park episode. What most don't realize (or forget or ignore or whatever) is that most of the members in MI6 were smug in their past AAs as well. Yes, it can be way over done and we should reign it in. I actually agree with you there (one of the reasons you don't see many posts from me personally anymore). For this, I will actually agree with you.

As for wanting to be the new MK, that is news to me and I am fairly certain for anyone in MI6. Simply put, we don't want to be the 2.0 or 3.0 or 3.1415926535 of any other alliance. MI6 simply wants to be MI6. That is all.

If people don't like us, so be it. Simply put, at this moment there is not much we can do about it. Let us conclude this war and see what post-war looks like.

Though, you keep saying we have done nothing and yet if what you say is true, then at the very least, we have caused excitement and drama in CN. We have apparently managed to piss of many alliances, some or most of whom, may hit us soon.

Though given what I have heard and read here, I do hope all members of MI6 reads this, and we work on the complaints against us.

  4. Except you don't have a mission outside of some petty vendetta that is pointless. You have repeatedly shown that you feel superior to damn near everyone and above even doing the minimum in simply joining an alliance. People understand you better than you think and that is why they don't like you. Get off your high horse and show some damn humility and maybe, just maybe you will find some kind of sympathy.

  5. You guys are pathetic, I like the fact that NPO brutally destroyed you guys on the night of YOUR blitz.

But keep dreaming about actually doing well against Pacifica, you gotta have dreams I suppose eh?

    Damage inflicted on MI6- 1,220,935.37

    Damage inflicted on NPO- 1,271,585.66

Having more wars declared on us by a much larger opponent was expected. Does not make it a brutal destruction. But I guess you can have your wet dream mate.

  6. I rather like this assessment. We never claimed not to have friends, though, and inevitably those friends will reside in some alliance or another. We've stayed true to our belief of not fighting wars we don't support for the sake of another's contrived agenda. That will continue to be our guiding principle into the next era of battle, but we'd be foolish to think we can take on all of planet bob by ourselves, fun as it sounds.

Oh I know mate. I know. I was replying more to Stewie and his rather rose-colored glasses.

  7. Chaining in alliances has been normal long before this war. Kind of getting tired of that party line being thrown around. There was a reason why MnDoAPs starting becoming the norm. Chaining in was becoming normal so treaties evolved that allowed an alliance to forego a chain in if they did not want to.

I also agree with the premise that the vast majority of wars centered around "you are a potential threat, you will be eliminated" reason. The UjW is a perfect example of this.

Also, DBDC has treaties ties as is evidenced by this war. They are purposefully engaging in the coalition opposite of NG. To an extent, they are doing the same thing as they would have done if they stayed in NG, Basically listening to an "idiot with a small nation".

Sure, they are avoiding hitting certain nations but overall, they have hit any nation above a certain NS on the opposing side. As it stands, there is nothing different being done in this war even with the inclusion of DBDC.

Now, if DBDC just hit whoever, regardless of coalition side, then yes, that would be different.

So evolution? No. More of the same just in a slightly different style.

  8. Well, I would have to say that one of the reasons for DH not losing as many nations over 60k is that tech has more ns value than infra. So, due to many of their nations being heavier in tech than Eq's side, it is taking longer to take them down in NS.

  9. I agree with AirMe, noCB is separate from WotC. Two different fronts of the same war. noCB was CnG based (as in it was MK, Athens, GR, etc who was the primary focus in that front) and WotC was Polaris based (as in Polaris/allies were the primary focus).

As for the CB, I don't really care. It has not spurred much of a debate really. It has only encouraged the same !@#$-slinging that passes as debate in CN. It was fun for a bit to participate in, then grew boring as per the norm.
