It doesn't matter what others think. I did what I saw was the right thing to do. If you all think it's a joke and poke at it, fine - that is certainly fine by me. But I did the honorable thing and there's nothing more I can say. I just simply want to move on from this matter and work on TGE.

This is no show, I assure you. I, for one, believe in diplomacy. This was the right thing to do, so I did it. I can only hope that relationships can be mended. That's all. Thank you, all.

As many of you may be aware, The German Empire has been undergoing a complete renovation in the past few months, welcoming back old and new members alike, creating new diplomatic ties, improving relationships with our allies, and transforming our own government. We have been working tirelessly so that our citizens can prosper both economically and diplomatically within Planet Bob. We value and treasure our relationships with other alliances. We work hard to find diplomatic solutions to any incident we may come across, and we work hard to make this a better place for all. As I reflect back on the past few weeks in which I have taken over as Imperial Chancellor, I have been extremely happy to see our relationships growing. As you can expect, I was saddened, and somewhat disappointed, to learn that one of our members had withheld important information from Nordreich, which directly affected a treaty that was being signed. I can positively assure you that this matter has been taken up by myself, personally, and that member has been dealt with appropriately. Please do not let it reflect upon TGE's government, citizenship, or what our alliance stands for. We are good people seeking the same thing we all are here on Bob - a better life for our nations, our citizens. It is with great sincerity that I wholeheartedly offer an apology to Nordreich. "I'm sorry - let's move on." I encourage all alliances to come to our forums, open an Embassy, or just open communication with our members. And my door is always open should you want to discuss any matters or just say "hello." I hope that this statement can be the first step in TGE regaining its footing here on Planet Bob. Many years ago, a group of players from an online political game called "Senate Seeker" banded together and joined Planet Bob, creating an alliance called the "Senate Seeker Coalition." We are coming up on our three-year anniversary of our move. Many of our original members have since moved on to other alliances, and have spread throughout Planet Bob. THE CHARTER DOCUMENT FOR THE INCORPORATION OF The United Federation of Planets We, being the undersigned nations do hereby band together, in an effort to establish, foster and develop the mutual respect, defense and economic cooperation between all members of the United Federation of Planets. We do state that these words shall govern us, and that all persons in membership within said Federation will adhere to them. I. Qualifications of Membership In order to promote the healthy well-being and general image of the UFP, a standard must be met when accepting any new member nation into the Federation. The member must not be involved in any current wars, must be on the Blue Sphere and must be in general good conduct at all times before and after his acceptance. Any member who fails to meet these requirements may be subject to a denial of admittance into the Federation. Special waivers can be granted on these terms by the Federation President. II. Duties of Membership It is the responsibility of every member to read the forums and participate in the alliance. Each member is expected to conduct himself with dignity and respect becoming of a member of the UFP. Any member may run for Office, and it is the responsibility and duty of all members to vote during our General and Special Elections. Members are expected to remain on the Blue Sphere and to participate in all active trade circles. This is so that the Federation can provide for all of its member nations. III. The Federation Council All members of the United Federation of Planets are considered voting members of the Federation Council. The Federation Council shall vote on all matters of war, peace, and treaty signings. The Federation Council, from its membership, will elect a High Councilor, the person responsible for calling for votes and presiding over the Council. This process shall occur every two months and will be presided over by the Elections Commissioner. The qualifications and duties of the High Councilor shall be prescribed in following articles. IV. The Federation President The Federation President shall serve as the Chief Executive of the alliance and shall oversee all governmental operations and votes. The Federation President is elected by a simple majority vote of the membership of the alliance. Presidential elections shall occur every two months. The Federation President is responsible for appointing members to the positions of the Federation Cabinet, with the exception of the High Councilor. The President shall hold the rank of Fleet Admiral during his tenure. V. The Federation Cabinet The Federation Cabinet shall be populated by the appointed members of the UFP's leadership team. The following officers are considered members of the Cabinet: -President of the Federation -High Councilor -Starfleet Commander -Diplomatic Corps Commander -Alliance Operations Commander VI. High Councilor The High Councilor shall be elected by the membership of the Council every two months. This shall be coordinated by the Elections Officer. The HC shall be elected by a simple majority vote. The HC is responsible for bringing bills to the Council floor for a vote by the membership. All bills and resolutions shall require the majority passage by the Council, and a signature and approval by the Federation President. All matters brought to the floor by the HC shall remain in voting status for a period of no less than 36 hours and no more than 96 hours. The High Councilor shall hold the rank of Senior Admiral during his tenure and be a standing member of the Federation Cabinet. VII. Starfleet and the Starfleet Commander Starfleet shall serve as the primary defense and military branch of the United Federation of Planets. Starfleet shall be led by the Starfleet Commander, whom is appointed by the Federation President. The Starfleet Commander shall advise the President, Cabinet, and Council on all matters regarding the security and defense of the alliance. The Starfleet Commander shall be a standing member of the Federation Cabinet, and shall hold the rank of Admiral. VIII. Federation Diplomatic Corps & Corps Commander The Federation Diplomatic Corps shall be responsible for the administration of all embassies and diplomatic relations within and outside of the Federation. The Corps Commander shall advise the President, Cabinet, and Council on all matters regarding the diplomatic response and relations for the Federation. The Federation Diplomatic Corps shall be led by the Diplomatic Corps Commander, who shall hold the rank of Vice Admiral. This position is appointed by the President and is a standing member of the Federation Cabinet. IX. Federation Administration & Alliance Operations Commander The Alliance Operations Department shall be responsible for the upkeep of the alliance’s forums and for the masking and unmasking of new and retiring members. The Department shall be led by the Alliance Operations Commander, who shall hold the rank of Captain. This position is appointed by the President and is a standing member of the Federation Cabinet. The Alliance Operations Commander is also responsible for appointing an Elections Officer to preside over all general and special elections. X. Amendments to the Charter It is the duty of the Federation Council to provide amendments, as needed, to the working charter of the United Federation of Planets. Amendments require a simple majority of the Council in order to be voted in.
