i dont understand whats so hard to understand about this. yeah...prices are going up...but theres nothing we can really do about that.
back when i was first selling tech it was right on the cusp when 3x3 (3M = 150 tech) deals were going out of style and the 3M/100 Tech deals were the new standard. my alliances tech program at the time was slow to want to accept the new price so you know what i did? i came to the newly formed black market here and started selling my tech to random nations at a price of 3M/100 Tech.
with this experience in mind (and knowing i would do something similar if i were still selling tech), its not a stretch of the imagination for sellers to soon abandon the 3M/100 tech deals and simply start selling their tech at a price of 3M/50 tech to random people in the CN black market. with the new compromise deal of 2M/50 tech, a nice balance is formed that will hopefully stave off the inevitable price of 3M/50 tech that will eventually come.
now does that mean i want to pay this price? not particularly...but the name of the game im playing is to amass tech as quickly as possible; and waiting around for 2-3 days (sometimes ive waited upwards of 5) for a buyer at a price of 3M/100 tech, over time, will be more inefficient than a fast paced 2M/50 tech deal with no lag time.
but really i dont see a point to this thread...its not like random seller #20 is going to stumble upon your new forum and go 'gee whiz...now i can finally sell my tech at a lower price! hooray! where do i sign up?!?!?!' recruiting for the winston's tech deal forum primarily took place with threads placed in the CN black market subforum. and when these prospective sellers see other nations advertising their price of 3M/50 tech in their thread titles (and getting business) theres no logical reasoning they would want to sell it for 3M/100 tech. so dont put blame on winston for the increasing prices of tech...blame the shrewd businessmen of this game that recognized an opportunity to benefit their nation more by selling at a higher price (and why not...this is a free market which means supply and demand is the bottom line)
