It appears that no CANJSF commander was ever formally elected. Therefore, Atlantis would like to nominate [b]General Kirkland M. Reis[/b] for the position. We believe General Reis is the best candidate at this point for the following reasons:

-The man has had over 20 years of experience in the Atlantis (and formerly, Northern Republic) military, achieving the rank of general and commanding thousands of men on the battlefield, as recently as the war against the FSA.

-General Reis is familiar with the Atlantis military, currently the largest and most advanced in the Confederation of Arctic Nations. As such, he would like to reform the CANJSF, incorporating many of Blue Heaven's suggestions, to make it more streamlined, efficient, and dependable.

Also, we agree with Blue Heaven's suggestions to forge closer economic ties within the CAN. The Arctic is full of numerous natural resources and there is absolutely no reason our economies should not be formidable. One possible suggestion would be a uniform currency within the Confederation of Arctic Nations. The currency would have a common side and also a national side where the member nation could use their own design. We wonder if this is a possibility with other CAN nations?

We also support General Reis' bid for CANJSF Commander. As for the economic concerns, even though we support closer economic ties within the CAN, we will not support having a common currency in the CAN. Even though a common currency would have advantages, such as a stronger economy for the CAN, it also has numerous disadvantages. For example, the economy of the CAN could be severely undermined if an economic powerhouse collapses, falls into disorder, or leaves the CAN. This will also undermine the sovereignty of every single nation in the CAN."

We wish to join the CAN, as we view it as an alliance dedicated to protecting the Arctic region from foreign influence. The IHR is a relatively small nation that is, despite a little paranoia on part of our government, peaceful and stable. In fact, we haven't been at any wars, with the exception of Barney Stone's attack against our nation and the Third TUO War, both of which we saw limited action. We are not much in comparison to the far larger nations already members of the CAN, and their massive militaries would make ours look like a tiny regiment. Our military, while armed with some relatively modern weapons like the G36 (called the Stg-36 in the IHR), we generally rely on outdated Cold War and WWII-era equipment. Still, our forces are more than capable for defense, peacekeeping operations, and limited military expeditions abroad. Overall, the Reich is a tiny country with some potential, and it's peaceful and stable, a perfect condition for a nation near the Arctic.

Yes to all proposals, however the unified currency was not meant to be put as a vote, just starting a discussion. It seems the CAN is against it, however Atlantis, the member nation with the largest economy, is willing to back it should opinion ever change.
