Cybil de Blanc
"But that's the point!" said Alysandra. "Tahoe may be big and scary, but if we get to know its leaders on a human level, then it breaks down a whole whack of barriers! And frankly, Tahoe is the school bully, only with tanks and weaponry and a lot of land! We must approach them with confidence!" Alysandra pointed a finger over-dramatically at the sky. "Furthermore, Tahoe is big on sovereignty, keeping continents free of colonization, yada yada...are they not? We can say we're just trying to make sure the Arctic waters are kept firmly under our control!"
Zoot Zoot
And the flip side to your points your highness, is that he is the bully. Its leaders ignore all mail sent to them, ignore all invitations. No offence, but I wouldnt feel like we are going to achieve anything if your at the helm of this operation. Your not diplomatic enough your majesty. More to the point, when are you going to reclaim your throne and how is the coffee war going? Imperial Forces are still in effective control over Northan. James Wilson
WE representative: I have to agree with my NC colleague. Tahoe is not a nation that has a history of friendly relations even to fellow North American Nations.
Cybil de Blanc
"I'm already back on the throne," Alysandra said flatly. "And everything's...mostly under control. Little rats are scurrying into the Baffin Mountains and further north; watch the CAN Protectorate for 'em." With a sigh, Alysandra leaned back in her chair. "And okay, I'll sit this one out. Cybby would probably think it was a bad idea, anyways...."
Zoot Zoot
Mostly under control? So I can remove my Army, and you wont be diposed of and thrown into the sea again? your position is safe? and is your military reformed enough to guard your nation?
Cybil de Blanc
"Ummmmmmm...." Awkward silence descended over Alysandra. The girl laughed nervously. "Well...there was a dung-flinging catapult outside Castle Northanholde last night...does that count?"
Zoot Zoot
Yes that counts. We cannot take any forceful action against these rebels without your permission, and yet I dont want to deploy the 9th to 16th legions into a campaign which could draw out into a gurilla war that could last months, even years. Northan now has more coffee than the Canadian Empire does due to international shipping into your ports. Our own stocks have been depleted, not that we shall be heavily affected by the shortage, it wont take long to get our stocks back up. By default, your war should be over seeing as coffee is no longer an issue.
Cybil de Blanc
Alysandra's face went blank. "Dude..." she began, "the coffee was only a catalyst. Everyone's ticked because of how the leadership was changing. Torklurapok had an axe to grind because of all them rules I was passin'. I know the instigators of this entire mess are hiding somewhere up north, and that the Coffee Parties and I have come to...some sort of an agreement...but yeah. Everyone's ticked because of the government, typical scenario. Besides, what about fresh food and water? I know a lot of places got their water supply cut off. Have humanitarian stations been set up, or did you settle everyone down by just handing out coffee?"
Zoot Zoot
humanitarian stations were setup at the same locations as the coffee handout points. If everyone is "ticked" at the laws you passed, then it would be my advice to return them to what they were previous to the war. If Northan is to be stablised, I wont have my Legions fight a war on your behalf, if your not making the appropriate changes on your side. In short, The Canadian forces, and the small Disparuean contingiant have been holding your nation together. Your hospitals, ports, airports, food outlets, domestic engineering etc etc, are all being run by the occupying forces that were deployed to stop Northan falling into further Anarchy. Pikachurin
"Okay, okay!" shouted the Disparuean representative, snapping his fingers. "Let's get back on topic, shall we? As I've said before, we should approach Tahoe as a group instead of just one person being thrown into whatever their capital is. They may be strong, imposing bullies, but still. United we stand, divided we fall. So perhaps we can send low-risk yet experienced representatives to Cruachan to negotiate for the CAN." The representative took a sip from his mug of hot chocolate before continuing. "And, General Lewis, with all due respect, I'll have to disagree with you on this one. Just because a couple of fringe groups decided to go...uh...'lolrage' against the legit Northanic Government doesn't mean that the Northanic Government should back down and succumb to the rebels' demands. You can't please everyone after all." The representative faced Queen Alysandra. "Oh, and your Majesty, the reports have told me that general humanitarian aid from Disparu have also been sent to Cyneriice Northan along with regular coffee shipments. The aid is being distributed in major population centres and high risk areas. My nation's soldiers are still within your nation, upholding the Northanic law, however they can be sent home if you want to." Zoot Zoot
General Lewis looked at the Disparuean representative: "Have we tried?, no? I didnt think so. Cybil de Blanc
"The Wilsons have a point; we stick together or fail forever," said Alysandra. "And yeah, you guys can pull out. I've got over 100,000 loyal troops who came back/finished training/etc. at my disposal, and there's only about...." Alysandra counted on her fingers. "400,000 people in Cyneriice Northan after the conflict. A lot of refugees didn't want to stay there, y'know."

kitex
***Private to all CAN Member Nations***
What do you all think of us having a wargame? We could play out any scenario at all. I think that this would help greatly in streamlining the chain of command if an actual invasion of one of our member nations were to take place and would also help us with military synchornization and logistical transportation. Californian
We are willing to conduct training exercises and wargames with fellow CAN members. In addition, we refer everyone to this correspondence: http://forums.cybernations.net/index.php?showtopic=83634 The Northern Republic is more than willing to add the Tahoe Republic as an observer. Perhaps we should start a vote?
