An area 40 square miles had been sealed off and turned into a top secret centre for military equipment and Black Projects. Most of it had been put underground where the Research and Development (R&D) and contsruction took place. Some testing was underground but most of the testing would take place on the surface. Compound breakdown: 0: Surface testing and perimeter 1- 20: Testing Laboratories 21- 40: Project Construction Workshops 41 - 60: Research and Development (R&D) 61 - 80: Scientist and Technician Quarters Curristan's military projects would be developed and tested here. The ultimate goal would be the aquiring of nuclear weapons, but that would be a long way off yet. However, a lot of researching would have been completed before that goal is accomplished. The project is to realise the Curristan Military's blueprint for the first Curristan Air Force. Most notably, the long barreled 155 mm M185 cannon in the M178 gun mount, ballistic protection for the panoramic telescope, counterbalanced travel lock, and the ability to mount the M140 alignment device. Stowage increased from 28 rounds of 155 mm, to 36 rounds, .50cal ammunition amount remain 500 rounds. Upgrade 100% complete - All divisions now have the M109A2 in service. Combat trials in Southern Curristan have shown increased effectiveness engaging WLF targets. Firing time has been increased inflicting more damage. They had stockpiles of Atrophine to administer in case anybody was infected by the chemical. They had already had a few failed attempts, with one scientist being evacuated to isolation in the facility's medical wing after he developed sweating and tremors accompanied with characteristically constricted pupils that showed skin exposure to Tabum. The Curristan Chemical Weapons Program was only known to the Curristan President and the Curristan Military High Command Chief. The scientists that work on the program have been told that if any knowledge of the program reached the outside world, it would bring unimaginable condemnation on Curristan and could even pose a nuclear threat to the country.
