Mr. Teets Posted July 6, 2009 Report Share Posted July 6, 2009 (edited) I. Preamble Tyrian Purple is founded on the principle of discipline, this is the basic principle that all members must follow. Tyrian Purple members will do all that they can to assist their fellow members in struggles. Tyrian Purple members will obey government decisions. II. Membership In order to receive membership of Tyrian Purple, applicants must follow the following procedure: A. Applicants must not be a member of any other alliance B. Applicants must change to the AA of Tyrian Purple Applicant C. Applicants must post an application on the Tyrian Purple forums D. Applicants that do not have set trades must change their team color to Purple. Others are encouraged to do so if they can E. Applicants must not be involved in any wars and will be required to peace out all active wars before membership is granted F. Past transgressions with prior alliances must be resolved before membership will be granted III. Membership Rights A. Plebian Plebians are the newest members of the alliance. Newly accepted members with little-to-no past experience will be given the rank of Plebian. Plebians rights are very limited since they have not proved themselves as dedicated members of Tyrian Purple. 1. Plebians will receive protection from other nations as long as they are under the Tyrian Purple AA. This protection can be revoked if orders are not followed. 2. Plebians will be given any assistance necessary for their nations to grow, this will come in the form of Aid and Advice. B. Equestrian Equestrians are more advanced members of Tyrian Purple. These members have proven themselves worthy enough to be given more responsibility and rights. 1. Equestrians will receive protection from other nations as long as they are under the Tyrian Purple AA. This protection can be revoked if orders are not followed 2. Equestrians will be given any assistance necessary for their nations to grow, this may come in the form of Aid, Advice, and Tech 3. Equestrians are permitted to run for the positions of Senator, Quaestor, Aedile, and Tribune of the Plebs 4. Equestrians are permitted to perform tech raids if they have passed the Tech Raiding Exam C. Patrician Patricians are the very advanced and dedicated members of Tyrian Purple. They have remained in Tyrian Purple for quite some time and have proven themselves time and time again. They are to be considered advisers to all members in the alliance. 1. Patricians will receive protection from other nations as long as they are under the Tyrian Purple AA. This protection can be revoked if orders are not followed, this can only be revoked after the Patrician explains his/her reasoning for not following orders 2. Patricians will be given any assistance necessary for their nations to grow, this may come in the form of Aid, Advice, and Tech 3. Patricians are permitted to run for the positions of Senator, Quaestor, and Aedile 4. Patricians may be appointed to the positions of Praetor, Consule, or King. 5. Patricians are permitted to perform tech raids 6. Patricians are permitted to start the impeachment process of a government member. IV. Government A. Tyrian Senate 1. The Senate will consist of 5 Senators 2. The Senator that receives the most votes will be given the position of Tribune of The Plebs 3. The Senators will be voted on by the general membership 4. Senators term of service will be 2 months 5. The Senator chosen to be Tribune of The Plebs will serve a 4 month term 6. Senators will be responsible for providing input towards how the alliance is run. Their advice will be based on the thoughts and ideas of the general membership. B. Tribune Of The Plebs 1. The Tribune of The Plebs is the speaker for the Senate 2. The Tribune of The Plebs is an adviser towards the Emperor 3. The Tribune of The Plebs is responsible for accepting and denying applicants to Tyrian Purple C. Quaestor 1. The Quaestor will be determined by a simple vote of the general membership 2. The term of service for a Quaestor will be 3 months 3. The Quaestor will be responsible for making public posts regarding alterations in the Tyrian government or charter 4. The Quaestor will be responsible for making public posts regarding milestones that Tyrian Purple may achieve. 5. The Quaestor will be responsible for keeping records for Tyrian Purple a. Military statistics and milestones need to be kept b. Current and past copies of the Charter need to be kept c. All treaties will be kept on record, both active and inactive D. Praetor 1. The Praetor will be appointed by the first full set of Consules 2. The term of service of a Praetor will be for life or resignation 3. The Praetor will be allowed to veto any act of government a. This rule is not in effect during a time of alliance wide war b. A veto of the Emperor can be overruled if the Consule it may affect agrees with the Emperor E. Consules 1. Consules will be appointed by the Emperor 2. Their term will be for life, resignation, or impeachment 3. Consule of War a. Time of Peace 1) The Consule of War will educate members on war and its tactics 2) The Consule of War will be in charge of making sure Tyrian Purple's members are ready for war 3) The Consule of War will constantly be monitoring world politics and will be in charge of the State of Readiness for Tyrian Purple b. Time of War 1) The Consule of War will be the primary assistant with the Emperor in guiding the members of Tyrian Purple 2) The Consule of War will work with Tyrian Purple's allies for targeting and coordination 4. Consule of Foreign Affairs a. The Consule of Foreign Affairs will be responsible for dealing with all actions regarding other alliances and external nations b. The Consule of Foreign Affairs is permitted to bring up the idea of a treaty to a foreign alliance 5. Consule of Internal Affairs a. The Consule of Internal Affairs will deal with all internal affairs of the alliance b. The Consule of Internal Affairs will keep track of which members go inactive and why, if a member is found to be inactive for no apparent reason then the member's membership is to be decided upon by the Emperor c. The Consule of Internal Affairs is to provide incentives to keep members active d. The Consule of Internal Affairs is responsible for solving disputes among members internally 6. Consule of Economics a. The Consule of Economics will be responsible for organizing technology deals both internally and externally b. The Consule of Economics will be responsible for organizing trade circles both internally and externally F. Aedile 1. Aediles will work as assistants towards their respective Consule 2. Each Consule will chose his/her Aedile when they are appointed 3. The Aediles can be removed or replace at any time by choice of the Consule or Emperor G. Emperor 1. All duties that are not explained in this charter fall to the Emperor 2. If any government position is available, the duty falls to the Emperor until the position is filled. 3. The Emperor's term of service is life, resignation, or impeachment 4. The Emperor is able to veto any action by any member a. The Emperor cannot veto the Praetor without the agreement of the Consule which it affects b. The Emperor can only veto the Tribune of The Plebs if 3 Senators agree to it V. Warfare A. Individual Warfare Tech Raids 1. Tech Raids may be performed by Equestrians who have completed the Tech Raid Exam and Patricians 2. Tech Raids are performed by a nation at their own will. Tyrian Purple is not required to assist this tech raid in any way if it escalates Individual Wars 1. Nations that assault another nation without approval will be expelled from Tyrian Purple and have all rights of membership immediately revoked. 2. Nations that are attacked by another nation are not to retaliate. The attacked nation must contact a government member as soon as possible so the conflict can be resolved peacefully if possible. 3. If a Tyrian Purple nation is attacked and a peaceful outcome is not an option, Tyrian Purple will do everything in its power to assist the attacked nation in a victory. Alliance Wars 1. During an alliance wide war the hierarchy for government officials is as follows: a. King b. Consule of War c. Tribune Of The Plebs d. Aedile of War e. Consule of Foreign Affairs f. Consule of Internal Affairs g. Consule of Economics 2. Members at war will follow orders as closely as they can and will attack proper targets 3. Members are to help other members if they are struggling in their war, this could be in the form of either financial or military assistance Failure to follow any military order given out by the King, Imperial Consule of War, or Tribune of The Plebs may result in expulsion from Tyrian Purple. Tyrian Purple understand that nuclear weapons are part of Planet Bob, due to this, Tyrian Purple does not have a problem with performing the first nuclear attack. Tyrian Purple will only fire nukes first in a full alliance war. Tech raids and individual wars will NEVER result in a Tyrian Purple first strike. If a successful nuclear attack is launched at a Tyrian Purple nation in an individual war or tech raid, then Tyrian Purple will retaliate with nuclear weapons. VI. Resignations, Inactivity, and Impeachment A. Resignations 1. If a member leaves Tyrian Purple and applies for membership again, they will receive a probationary membership if re-accepted. This will include the same benefits as a Plebian but with limited access on the forums and limited information 2. If a member leaves Tyrian Purple and applies for membership twice, they will need direct approval from the Tribune of The Plebs to be accepted. This will again include the probationary membership but for a longer amount of time 3. If a member leaves Tryian Purple and applies for membership three or more times, they will need approval from the Tribune of The Plebs and the King. This will include the probationary membership again. 4. A member can advance out of probationary membership after proving to the Senate that they deserve it. B. Inactivity 1. If a government is inactive for 5 days without prior notice, then they will be sent messages requesting them to visit the forums and view whatever necessary a. One message will be sent on each day of inactivity starting with day 6 b. The title of the messages sent will be "Day _ of Inactivity" 2. Failure to respond by action to these messages by day 8 or failure of explanation of inactivity will result in the removal of the government position. 3. If the nation returns after being removed and is able to explain to the Senate why they were inactive, the Senate can reinstate them into the government position. C. Impeachment 1. Only Patricians and government members may start the process for impeachment 2. After the process has been started then the Senate will take a vote to see if the government member needs to be removed. This will be a majority vote 3. If a Consule is removed from office, then the Aedile below the Consule will be promoted to the position and the Aedile will be replaced 4. If an Aedile is removed then the Consule above the Aedile will find a replacement. 5. If the Tribune of The Plebs is removed then the next highest scoring Senator will replace him and the Quaestor will be considered a Senator for the rest of the term 6. If a Senator is removed the Quaestor will replace that Senator for the rest of the term 7. If the King is removed from office, the Tribune of The Plebs will replace him. The next senator will replace the Tribune of The Plebs and the Quaestor will in turn replace that Senator 8. The Praetor can only be impeached if the Senate is in complete agreement VII. Amendments 1. This charter is subject to alteration at any time. Any Equestrian, Patrician, or government member can call for a change in the charter 2. The Senate will determine if the general idea of the alteration is needed 3. After the Senate determines that a change is necessary, all government members will work towards a wording of the change 4. The Praetor will then either accept or deny the final copy of the alteration There will be cake in #tyrianpurple tonight for those of you who can make it. If you can't then leftovers will be taken to OUR FORUMS. Tyrian Purple will obviously be on the purple sphere. All are welcome to come get to know us. Mr. Teets p.s.
