The fog clouds everything.

The wind swirled around a stone brick castle seated at the top of a hill looking over a valley of fog. Atop the highest keep, a man stood looking over the castle's walls. A sling went around his body, at the base near his hip lie a baby inside the sling. The baby was screaming and crying out of great pain and hunger. The man who has traveled far with this baby paid no attention. He was focused on one thing, casting the baby into its very death for a small profit. The man had no thought other than him attempting to focus on the fact he was doing a good thing. That what he was discarding was nothing more than pure evil. His mind drifted to where he was given the baby and a small sum of currency. A baby of pure evil. At least, that is what the parents were told, and later exhibited, and had passed the information on to him. They felt as if they were suffering, and as the man took the baby away from the household, it collapsed inwards, burrying them inside. As his mind made it back to reality he realized it had to be done. He dismounted his position on the keep and made his way to the doorway which lead to the courtyard. He found himself being escorted to the gateway where he took it to the edge of the cliff. At that moment A great rift opened up in the fog in the valley, almost begging for it to be done. The man removed the baby from the sling, raised the baby over his head, and closed his eyes to cast it away.

As if fate couldnt intervene more, the man was shot from behind. A raid on the castle by the military of The Republic. They had come in search of the bandits that made the historical site thier own getaway. The castle doors were closed only to be reopened with a detonation device. Gun shots were heard in the distance with the screams of the men from inside the castle. The General who had shot the man neared the corpse and found the baby. He recovered it, and picked it up to examine it. It still cried and screamed. It lashed out at its new holder. Its body covered in blood by the person that once held it. The General looked at it, and thought of his Mrs. at home. He called for a medic, and put the baby on his shoulder.

It began to rain.

"War is so complex it's beyond the ability of the human mind to comprehend all the variables. Our judgment, our understanding, are not adequate. And we kill people unnecessarily. That is what comes with the Fog of War"
