As public spokesman of Rendition it gives me great pleasure to present the following multi-announcement: 1. Rendition announces its foundation, first council, and Codex! 2. Rendition has been accepted into NOIR! 3. Rendition signs protectorate with Dark Fist! (4. Rendition is entirely irrelevent- but I did spend a few minutes typing this so a skim read would be great- if we get big you can say you cared!) 1. Rendition founded several weeks ago, and established as a black team trading alliance. We sell tech, 3 million in cash for 100 tech, to any nation or alliance on the black team, please look us up! Our trading code can be found in our codex or the trading complex on the Rendition offsite: This baby Our first Arcani Council is: Primus Inter Pares - Paint Your Target Speaker of the Council - Vellocet Arcani - Hatman Returns, Faeloth. The Council has ratified the following Codex to be the governing rules of the alliance: The Rendition Codex…Where reality is illusive, illusion becomes reality… Rendition was created with a single, sincere cause: to bring further enrichment and stability to Black Sphere. We are a small, but united collective of business nations, based predominantly in the UK. The following is our Codex, which Rendition members must adhere to at all times. Section 1: Concerning Membership. Article 1: Application. Nations can apply to join Rendition after fulfilling the following criteria: 1. You are not involved in any wars in the game 2. You are not currently a member of any other Cybernations Alliance 3. Your nation is on black team, or will be within 15 days of joining Rendition. (There are no exceptions to this rule; failure to join black team within the time limit will lead to your expulsion from Rendition) 4. You are committed to helping your alliance, willing to participate on the forums and in the game, and willing to learn or take advice from your peers in Rendition. We want the best here, and that is regardless of your nation’s strength. If satisfied with the above, your application will be processed within 24 hours. Article 2: Membership Behaviour/Trading Code. We ask our members to respect their fellow alliance members, respect orders and rulings passed within the alliance, and to cooperate/participate in our business operations to the best of their abilities. When trading in Cybernations Rendition members must adhere to the following code: Rendition aims to provide service only with Black team alliances and nations. Tech deals are restricted to Black nations, or nations of other colours who are part of black team alliances. Exceptions for close friends outside or inside the game are allowed, but should be negotiated with the Director of Commerce. It is a violation to receive money for a tech deal and then leave Rendition/Go to Peace mode/Go Rogue without first paying back the required amount of tech. Similarly is against our codex to receive money for a trade agreement, and then withhold from said trade agreement, or cancel earlier than specified in said arrangement. A Rendition nation found guilty of either of these violations will be demoted to Initiate rank, and asked to pay the tech/send the trade as agreed. Failure to do so will lead to said Rendition nation being expelled from the alliance We encourage our members to provide the best service they can within the game, and thus improve their standing, and the standing of Rendition. Section 2: Concerning Government. Article 1: The Arcani Council and Powers. 1. The Arcani Council is comprised of the Founders of Rendition, and any additional members they have elected to vote in- this can be done by a unanimous vote of all current Arcani members. An Arcani can be removed by a unanimous vote of all other Arcani Council members- a 24 hour period will be given in which they can preemptively resign- or resign voluntarily at any time. 2. The Arcani have the power to sign treaties with foreign alliances, amend or add to the Rendition Codex, and declare war/peace, with a unanimous vote in favour. 3. The 'Primus Inter Pares' acts a representative to speak on their behalf, and on behalf of Rendition, on the Cybernations Forums, in any necessary announcements. This position is non elected, and can be passed on at any time. 4. An appointed ‘speaker’ for the Arcani announces changes to the general membership of Rendition, as well as elections/major events. This speaker position alternates between Arcani every month. 5. The Arcani can block a Grand Assembly vote with a majority vote against said vote. 6. If a state of war is declared, or a state of Emergency recognised by a majority vote in the Assembly, the Arcani become the single governing body by majority vote for the duration of said war/crisis. Article 2: The Grand Assembly 1. The Grand Assembly is utilised to make alliance-wide decisions that are not of an urgent nature or already resolved by the Arcani. 2. The Assembly is comprised of a Consul and Praetor, elected by popular vote, and Directors who are appointed by the Arcani based on merit, or (in the event of Rendition experiencing a large membership growth) elected by popular vote as well. Initially all Rendition members will have a vote in the Assembly- once the alliance has increased in size a majority vote can change this system to one of elected senators to vote on behalf of the membership. Arcani Council members can vote in the assembly if they hold an elected or appointed role. 3. The Assembly can make decisions via Majority vote, unless neither the Praetor nor the Consul supports the vote, in which case a 2/3 majority is required. When voting on Issues, the Consul’s vote carries the weight of three votes, and the Praetors the weight of two- This vote weighting will only be applied once the Assembly contains sufficient members to outvote the Praetor/Consul. 4. Elections to fill the positions in the Assembly will take place every 2 months, once Rendition has reached a membership of 15 or more. Article 3: The Directors 1. The Directors will be appointed according to Merit, until Rendition meets a large enough membership to warrant bimonthly elections to fill these posts. 2. The Arcani can appoint or remove a Director at any time with a Unanimous vote in favour. 3. The Director Positions are as follows: Director of Defence, Director of Commerce, Director of Foreign Affairs, and Director of Internal Affairs. 4. Directors can appoint deputies to help them in their work, but are reminded failure to fulfil the post to the best of their ability will lead to their removal. Rendition Rises. 2. Our signature on the NOIR Treaty, as seen here: NOIR Treaty 3. Our Protectorate with Dark Fist: May we continue to have as great a time as we are having now! Dark Fist - Rendition Protectorate Preamble After getting to know each other and realising how cool we both are, the alliance of Dark Fist [ DF ] grants a protectorate treaty to Rendition, to watch over them, as they grow safely and peacefully, while bilateral relations develop further. Both alliances agree to comply with the following articles and do everything in their power to uphold them. Article 1: Peace Both signatories agree to co-exist peacefully. No act of aggression is to be taken by one signatory against another, regardless of any situation. In the case of an unauthorised attack by a member of either signatory, the signatory alliance to which the attacker belongs to is expected to deal with their member, including the ordering of peace, and the payment of reparations to the nation attacked. Article 2: Intelligence If either signatory acquires information concerning the other signatory, they must bring it forth to the signatory which it concerns. This specifically applies to information regarding any harmful acts or threats towards either signatory, acts of espionage or any other useful information. In addition, both signatories agree to not conduct acts of espionage and spying towards one another. This includes both in-game spying and off-site actions. Article 3: War In the event that Rendition comes under any type of attack from anyone, Dark Fist pledges to provide all necessary support, to the greatest extent possible - including but not limited to; diplomatic, monetary and especially military support. If on the other hand Dark Fist comes under attack, then Rendition has the option but not the obligation to assist Dark Fist in any way deemed appropriate by them. This clause does not hold up if Rendition chooses to stage a clearly aggressive attack on any alliance, without provocation. Article 4: Co-Operation and Communication Rendition agrees to co-operate with Dark Fist in such matters as senate voting and technology selling, as well as any other mutually beneficial areas of interest. Dark Fist agrees to provide any assistance, advice and support necessary to Rendition, in order to facilitate their fast growth and ensure all possible opportunities for the betterment of their alliance are provided. Rendition agrees to keep Dark Fist informed about any significant or otherwise important decisions made within their alliance. Article 5: Civility The members of both alliances should interact in a a civil, respectful and polite fashion with each other. This includes all mediums of communication, and government officials should encourage members to be friendly to one another. Members of both alliances should strive to show unity on public forums. Article 6: Withdrawal In the event that any of the above articles are clearly violated, this treaty will become void immediately. Otherwise, either signatory can cancel this treaty, after a 72 hour notice to the other signatory, by making the cancellation known to them. At such time as when both alliances feel that the Protectorate treaty has served it's purpose, they may meet and discuss the possibility of upgrading it to a greater treaty. If both parties agree, this treaty will be upgraded as necessary.
