kingzog Posted June 5, 2009 Report Share Posted June 5, 2009 From the Desk of KINGZOG Shortly after the reformation of Nordreich, we began receiving concerns from the International and the Libertarian Socialist Federation that Members of Nordreich were engaged in rogue spy operations. At the same time, we began to receive very selective 'leaked' information from said alliances' forums. The source(s) of this information were unknown to us. In cooperation with the International and the Libertarian Socialist Federation, we have investigated the matter thoroughly and have come to the unfortunate conclusion that a former government member of Nordreich and long-time member of our community was doing his best to stir up trouble between ourselves and INT/LSF. This individual bore a grudge against Nordreich owing to our refusal to allow him to rejoin our alliance once he revealed that he had been expelled from Planet Bob by the Swords and Shields of Almighty Admin. At the same time, our investigation revealed that Nordreich was also harboring a second individual known for his love of causing trouble between our alliance and those of the so-called 'CyberLeft'. This particular individual was also trying to sow dissension among Nordreich members by distributing selective, misleading quotes from private conversations between myself and a third individual. Fortunately for us, one of the 'new members' this second individual approached to take part in his plot was, in fact, a long-time friend of the Nordreich community who reported the matter immediately. Owing to the fact that this 'third individual' was the only other person in possession of the logs of our conversation, Nordreich is now investigating whether this individual is part of a larger plot to undermine Nordreich's government. There was a fourth individual. He was at least responsible for some of the leaks we received. However, since he is not from my alliance, it is not my place to 'out' him here. Confused? If so, welcome to the club. Nordreich takes accusations of spying very seriously. We have precisely zero tolerance for those who would try to lure us into war by sending us 'leaked' information. Similarly, we will not countenance those among our own ranks who engage in rogue spying operations allegedly on Nordreich's behalf. While I have said this on numerous occasions, I believe it bears repeating: Nordreich bears no ill-will toward any alliance. With regard to our so-called 'traditional adversaries' we would like nothing more than to put the past behind us and work toward building a new, positive relationship with them. With that in mind, we have supplied relevant information to alliances directly affected by the above actions, including the International and the Libertarian Socialist Federation. We stand ready to cooperate with these alliances and, indeed, any alliance finding itself similarly targeted. While we have cooperated quite fully and openly with each other, I believe each alliance has reasonably withheld information related to their internal security. Therefore I cannot presume to speak on behalf of either the International or the Libertarian Socialist Federation. Both alliances are welcome to comment on this matter and in this thread, if they so choose. (Or they can start their own announcements. Up to them, really.) I wish to thank Comrade Craig (INT) and Comrade Yev (LSF) for their help in sorting this matter out, and I wish to apologize to the Cyberverse for the distinct lack of NoR-Commie drama you have come to expect.
