Announcement from the Government of the Republic of New England

After series of talks through classified diplomatic channels, the governments of the Republic of New England and the Atlantian Federation had reached an agreement today. The Republic of New England will wire $250 million for the western portion of New York State. In return, a Mutual Defense and Aggression Pact (MDAP) will be signed between the two nations. This may be a bit redundant, seeing that both nations are in different coalitions that are allied to each other, directly or indirectly. But in President John F. Kennedy's words as he signed the document ratifying the agreement, "A tangled web is always better than none."

Shortly after this announcement, several divisions of the New England Army would move into western New York State, heading toward the major cities of Buffalo and Rochester. The Seventh, Eighth, and Ninth Divisions steadily occupied various cities, towns, and villages in their way toward the shores of Lake Ontario and Lake Erie. In their wake, New England administrators replaced their Atlantian counterparts as the region was steadily placed under New England's control. Finally, Buffalo and Rochester were occupied as the troops reached the newest westernmost border with Bohovia.

New York State was reunificated, at last.
