Dolmabahce Palace, Constantinople, UK

Prime Minister Jed Constantine sat silently in his office, wordlessly reading the telegrams that were steaming into from all over the country. The telegrams were all but positive. There were reports of demonstrations all over the country. From Patras to Smyrna to Lavopolis, and going as far as Tiflis and Petrovsk-Port, thousands and perhaps millions of demonstrators were protesting against the ‘recent events’, and the ‘inactivity of the UK government to do something about it’ -- and the protestors were growing violent as time passed on. There were several scuffles in Athens and Sivas between demonstrators and UK police, especially the Polisfederal, that left several dead and countless wounded. This served only to further inflame public discontent.

Perhaps the Constantine brothers weren’t as popular as they were presumed to be?

The Prime Minister sighed deeply as he tossed the telegram back into his desk. Looking outside his window, he could see protestors, waving flags and shouting furiously. The protestors had assembled in front of the Dolmabahce Palace, and Polisfederal troops were stationed in front of the Palace to keep them at a distance.

You ok, bro?

Jed looked up to see his brother, Aaron entering the room. He shook his head. “Just reading about the general situation, and needless to say, it’s not pretty.” Jed said as he picked up one of the telegrams and handed it over to Aaron for him to read. “Guess, we’re not as popular as we thought, heh.” Jed, joked, trying to lighten the mood.

Aaron stifled a chuckle as he scanned the telegram. His expression turned serious as he began to grasp of how serious the situation was. “Yeah, it’s not pretty. But what else can we do about that?

Jed was about to open his mouth to say something when an aide rushed into the office. “Something’s happening! It seems that they’re attacking!” He stated, frantically.

The brothers looked at each other. Aaron immediately grabbed the remote and turned on the TV. Surely, something was happening. The news channel screen showed a news reporter at a distance from the Dolmabahce Palace. Crowds of protestors could be seen off at the background…attacking UK police.

--ems that the situation is quite deteriorating rapidly. The protestors seem to be restless, and this surely can’t be good. As you can--

Suddenly, several shots rang out as screams pierced the tense Constantinople air. The brothers simply watched in horror as the crowds simply degenerated into a mess, with their fists and feet…flailing about.

Jed, Aaron, and the aide looked at each other, their eyes widened. “Oh my...God.” The Prime Minister muttered. They had heard the shots, as faint as it may be, from their position in the Dolmabahce Palace. They immediately knew their lives were endangered. If the protestors broke through the gates…

Several aides rushed into the room, holding handful of telegrams. “It’s becoming serious! The Countries are seceding!” He held out several telegrams out to Jed. The Prime Minister took them and began reading them. His worst fears were confirmed: both Greece and Georgia had declared their intents to secede from the UK, and all communications with Tiflis and Athens were suddenly cut off. It seems that they preferred to seek protection from the neighboring Rebel Army…or something…

Further readings revealed that Transcaucasia might be doing the same, and there were several riots in cities and towns in central Anatolia, of which were suppressed by the Polisfederal -- and things were getting bad to worse. Hundreds of cities, towns, and villages were simply…erupting from anger.

Interestingly, communications was still maintained with the Crown Dependencies of Bulgaria, Kosovo, and Dagestan -- although the situation was quite bad too, but not certainly worse. It seemed that they had lost faith in the UK government.

And speaking of the government, the Parliament building was besieged by angry protestors, with Polisfederal troopers struggling to hold them off. It seemed that the UK government was quickly losing control of the country.

Soon, Army tanks and troopers were rolling through the streets of Constantinople. They at first maintained law and order on the streets, by keeping the protestors at a distance from the Palace. But soon, news reached the brothers that the Army had arrested UK politicians left and right, and it seemed that the same was going for the rest of the country. That, and the Polisfederal suddenly found themselves under fire, from the Army. Upon receiving the news, both Jed and Aaron froze up with fear and concern.

” As Jed was about to say something, several Army officers, including William Hans, appeared at the door. Hans went up to Jed and nodded. “The situation is deteriorating, and it seems that it’s not only related to recent events, but this is not the time to talk about that.

The former Provisional Supreme Commander paused for a moment. “The Army has begun arresting UK politicians all over the country, and it seems that a warrant has been issued for your arrest. We do not know who issued it at that moment, as the situation is simply too chaotic. We have to get you two out of here, and immediately. Come with me.

With that, Hans led Jed and Aaron down the hall, where several more Palace staff and others followed. However, Jed suddenly remembered something. “Excuse me for a moment!” He called out as he went into a different corridor, toward his room, Aaron following him. Pushing the door open, Jed saw Laurel and Henry. However, before Laurel could say something, Jed grabbed her hand and led her down the corridor, back to where Hans and the group were waiting. Aaron grabbed several aspects, including his mobile, Jed's, anything that he could take with him. Everything else would have to be abandoned.

I’ll explain in due time, but we need to get going now!” Jed explained to his girlfriend. Henry barked worriedly as he ran alongside his master. Aaron ran out after his brother, carrying the goods.

Upon reaching the group, Hans, Jed, and Aaron led the way, descending into several stairwells, beneath the Palace. Reaching a locked, bullet-proof encrypted door, Hans input a code (it was a secret code that UK government and military officials knew. It was changed every week, though), and the door opened.

By then, the Army troopers had overwhelmed the Polisfederal and entered the Palace, detaining any Palace staff along the way.

There, a specially-modified bullet train was waiting in a underground tunnel. Jed, Aaron, Hans, and the rest of the group immediately entered the train, where they signaled government workers to begin the journey. Soon, the train whizzed into action. They were to go to a special government ‘airport’ located just outside Constantinople, where a jetliner would be waiting.

Jed sighed sadly as he looked out of the window…he knew they would never return to the Dolmabahce Palace ever again. The UK was done for.

OOC: Yup, you read it correctly. The UK is done for. I’m moving to North America, as I’ve told V the King and others. Now, the entire territory of the UK shall go to Lavo, where he can do whatever he wants (but it would be preferred that the territory be held as a protectorate for new players). That, and Margrave can have the rest of Greece. That, and sorry if the RP seems...lackluster, but that's the best I could come up with. :awesome:

It’s been fun RPing in Turkey, and I thank Lavo for providing this wonderful opportunity. Danke, Lavo!

Besides, Subtle can RP as Laurel in this RP (it isnt finished yet, btw). And yes, the brothers, along with Hans and others, will go to Promised Land once again. The brothers will live the rest of their lives in exile in Promised Land, and they wont return to their homeland again (well, if they do, they'd visiting the Rebel Army, anyways. :awesome:)

With that, off to North America I go. :D

Artemis Global Security will uphold 2PAC and side with Rebel Army. CSSR has no right to move into a Rebel-Army owned protectorate.

Constantinople, UK

The bullet train, also known as a maglev, speeded alongside its track at lightning speed as it coursed toward its destination: a special government airport. No longer leader once again, Jed sighed sadly as he watched out the window, seeing everything speed by. The sky was indeed beautiful, the sun was shining, and the birds were chirping as it seemed.

Aaron took a seat across from Jed and Laurel. "I know how you feel." Aaron said, softly. Jed nodded. "Yeah...I still can't believe it. The people rejected me...they rejected you..." He trailed off.

The former Emperor looked out of the window. "Yes, it was unfortunate, indeed. I don't know who was responsible for the Army...takeover, but look on the bright side. At least, we're not getting arrested and detained this time!" Aaron joked, trying to lighten the mood. It worked: Jed began to chuckle a little. "Yes, that's true. After that experience last time, I don't think I'm ready to go back in there again -- or possibly worse."

Henry barked a couple of times as if in agreement. Jed patted the dog on the head.

Hans chuckled as he took a seat near Jed, Aaron, and Laurel. The others were sitting nearby, watching them. They, too, were still disoriented by the recent events. "Yes, that's true. Better to be safe than sorry, so to say." The former Supreme Commander said. His expression turning serious for a moment, Hans turned to the brothers. "Okay, when we get there, we are going to a special government airport. We have a contact there who will help us to escape from the country -- although it is only a matter of time before the Army discovers it."

He paused for a moment, and then smiled. "So, where do you want to go?" Jed grinned as he looked at Laurel, and then back at Hans. "Melbourne, Promised Land." He said simply as he put his arm around Laurel's shoulder and kissed her forehead lovingly. Aaron chuckled and rolled his eyes as Hans shook his head and smirked. Henry barked happily.

Aaron opened his mouth to say something when suddenly the train stopped. "We're here." Hans said, getting up from his seat. Jed and Aaron got up from their seats, the others doing the same. Hans turned to Jed. "Oh and one more thing...I shall come with you two in Promised Land. I hear it is a beautiful place, and if you two need a drinking buddy, I'm in." He smiled.

Jed grinned and nodded. "Thanks, Hans."

Aaron smirked as he slapped Hans on the back. "Drinking buddies, eh? You drink much?" Hans smirked back. "More than you think, son. More than you think."

"Oh, it's now on! May the best man win!" Aaron stated dramatically. Hans shook his head as he walked on. "That would be me." He said to himself as he adjusted his Navy cap. "Hey, I heard that!" Aaron protested as he followed Hans.

Jed chuckled in amusement as he surveyed the two. Knowing Aaron and Hans, the two'd drink themselves out.

The group walked out of the train into an underground tunnel. Leading the way, Hans arrived at a locked door with a keypad. He pressed several keys and with a tiny 'ping', the door was unlocked. Opening the door, Hans led the group through a white hallway. After making several turns, they came to yet another door. "This is it. We're here." Hans said as he turned to Jed and Aaron.

Jed smiled and nodded. "That's good to hear."

With that, Hans opened the door. The group entered what appeared to be a small 'airport'. Several officials were seated at a desk nearby, and several soldiers stood nearby. A jetliner could be seen off in the distance. The officials immediately stood up when they saw Hans, Jed, and Aaron.

As the group approached the desk, Jed glanced at the soldiers apprehensively. One of the officials saw this and smiled. "They're on our side. No need to worry."

Jed nodded as he glanced at Laurel. Henry barked softly, his tail wagging a little. Nearby, Hans was discussing things with the officials as others stood nearby. Finally, Hans turned to Jed and Aaron as the officials walked over to a door. "Alright, we're good." He smiled. "They're taking us off now."

With that, Hans led the group through the door, toward the waiting jetliner. The soldiers walked alongside the group, although Jed's anxiety didnt abate. Reaching the jetliner, Hans let Jed, Aaron, Laurel, and Henry go in. Then the others went, and Hans entered last. The jetliner's door closed and it's engines began running. Before they knew it, the jetliner was lifting off the runway, up into the air.

They were now flying home...and it wasn't in Constantinople anymore. Several hours after the brothers left, the Army took over the airport.

Laurel smiled when Jed put his arm around her and kissed her forehead. She could have answered Hans' question, but she let Jed answer for her. Where they had been once, they were likely to go again.

She quietly followed them through the airport into the jetliner.

-----------------------

When it entered Promised Land's airspace, no special note was taken of it. It was just another passenger liner entering the nation. They would be met at the airport by several plainclothes police officers who were told simply that these were important guests, and that their arrival should be kept quiet.

A scattered transmission broken periodically by the sound of massive pogroms and chaos in the background blared strongly to the Byzantine aircraft. It was unknown if they were listening, but the attempt would be made. Despite the chaos happening in the Imperium as the newly-formed Inquisition rooted out both corruption and heresy alike, Kevin felt he at least owed it to his one-true-allies to recognize their passing from the world.

"The Byzantine Nation, in whatever form it has taken shape, has always been a beacon of light in a dreadfully dark world. With its' passing into the oblivion of history, the world has grown a bit colder; a bit closer to the midnight darkness of apocalypse. Onward we rush towards our destinies; even more unsure without the steadying influence of the United Kingdom."

His voice faded out and Kevin coughed harshly, stilling his emotions before continuing. "You will always, always have a friend in the Imperium, regardless of form. The resources of the Adeptus Custodes are at your service should you need them.

I wish it never came down to this. You will be missed."
