The world shook as the million or so gazed thier eyes on an unkindly sight. The site of a tragic death...the site of.... Red. - - - - 7 hours before - - - - Intel suggested that some sort of riot would strike the palace at night. Counter intelligence said that support would be provided by an outside source. Sources ran rapid and intelligence was lost in what was true and what was false. In a last desperate attempt, all contact from the outside was lost to keep everything in...and everything out. "All connection to the outside and outside sources will be cut off for the time being and reinstated tomorrow morning so that intelligence may sort itself out."-: Imperial Order 785 Signed, Emperor Mykep the Younger - - - - 6 hours before - - - - 2:30 am The Palace General Saxon II, son of earlier General Saxon, who served under the leadership of Emperor Mykep I, had the shift and position of gaurding the castle in these troubling times. Yet, he knew that in this dark night he would shine brighter than ever before. For a few moments ago, he was given the go ahead by the Red Fist leadership to march his soldiers into the ungaurded castle and kill the Emperor. The plot was easy enough...kill the Emperor, let the country run amuck till the people themselves take control. General Saxon served under 5 generals...unable to follow his and his fathers dream of leading the Grand Army of the North. he feared his day would not come, unless there was new leadership. His only duty now:"We shall take the generals, you will take the snake." His troops went in, under loyalty to thier general and slaughter the housing staff. The personal gaurds and the Cabinet members. They approached the master bedroom. They walked slowly up to it, guns in hand and were ready to take loyal blood. The message clear, the objective close...The mission... Compromised. Through the back door, armed with a 6 inch battle knife, a young Mikhail ran towards seven men. His height and weight allowed him to manuever through the large, rugged gaurds like a knife through butter. Over the radio, he heard the faint "Move move move!" Through the ear piece and Mikhail ran to the door, and opened it. He let out a faint cry, "Master!" But there was no answer. At first he thought he was too late, then he realized how silly he was that he thought a plan to take down his emperor would not be done so swiftly. He ran for the balcony and and looked outwards into the night. Knowing his emperor made out. He felt a pinch on the back of his neck. He fell to the ground. Saxon looked at the limp body, and put his hand up. With a smirk on his face he said: We may have use for this one. I must go. - - - - 5 hours before - - - - 3:30 am : The Siberian "wasteland acre" Project 155: Boardering the security to enter the Electric Complex Outpost of the Aperture Science, the gaurd was a bit skeptical for the reasoning behind such an entry by a General at 3:30 am, but nonetheless access was granted. With military units behind him as well as gaurds and tanks, the General was ready to do what was needed of him. He walked into the large hall and shook the hands of someone he only knew as Official 155. The man walked along the General. "This must be your first visit. Might I ask why it takes place at this time of night?" "Well this place isnt the best place to visit in broad day light. The operations here are top secret and I only wish to know in case of emergency, with the entire rebellion and all, how one would put this place out of commission." "Well you picked the right building to meet me in. The electricity is top priority and running most of the machinery as well as defenses here. The turrets included. Its why this building is in the center of the complex." The General questioned: "Well I'd like for a target to be placed. How would I go about doing that." The scientist laughedand said pointing at a chart, "Pick a weapon...any weapon...and with the correct position, we can hit id dead on." The General pulled out a paper with positioning and satellite targetting and said, "This building." "Ah! This is why you have come! I am very excited! It is our first operation here." As he typed in the cooridinates, he questioned: "You spoke of rebellion..Will this put it down. Also, Cruise Missile Launched!" "Nope..." He pulled his gun out of his holster. "It will start it." The General looked, smirked and said with a gun pointing at Official 155, "Then shut it down then." "You cant be serious?" "I am, and welcome to the center of operations." As the switches were turned to turn off all electricity in the complex, and personel to be called in. They were lined up against the wall and shot. Few scientists were kept alive so that operations could still take place, Including Official 155. "Now...i have to make a phone call." - - - - 4 hours 45 minutes before - - - - The phone in Sarah's pocket rang with a number she had to remember by heart.. She hung it up and threw it out the window. She looked at Mark and said, "Go." The jeep sped out...going towards the Palace. They stopped at hte Palace gate and saluted the Captain in command and in charge of the operation being held this night. The soldiers had begun taking the buckets and bringing them into the Palace. Mark questioned "How much more needs to be done?" Captain responded, "Just a little more and all we will need is a light." "We have the light...but I believe that I will need one thing." Mark went upstairs slipping on the gasoline pouring all over the floor from the crates that were being brought in. He passed the stench of dead bodies on the floor and beds and attempted to forget the smell. He made his may to the master bed room and picked up a Nat Sherman from the Cabinet Humidifier. He made his way back outside and lit the cigar. He said with a smile: "He may have forgotten the cause of this great nation, but he still had great taste." He handed it to Rahc Rednam, a boy who was ready to die for the cause. They saluted the boy and got into thier cars and jeeps and sped out. The boy took a puff of the cigar and ran in...The embers hit the ground. The palace exploded in a blaze...all participating soldiers in the killings and burnings killed. As the Captain saw this from his rearview mirror, he looked to the passing jeep, where with a click of the button, the Captain's jeep exploded. - - - - 4 hours before - - - - In the Old Forever Battlefield's HQ, The Generals layed awake in thier bunks telling old stories of the past and how thier battles went. They talked of new strategies and new causes thier Emperor had lined up for them. They didnt know thier talk would lead them no where as a cruise missile destroyed thier HQ with them inside. - - - - 3 hours 50 minutes before - - - - The Red Fist mobilized a task force to hack the TEIA (The Empire's Intelligence Agency) With some of the brightest minds in the Northern Hemisphere and a spy amongst the ranks of the Manchurian Army. They had the cruise missile traced from there. The News would point this out to the people in the morning. All events were classified to the public and still are. The installment of the Red Fist is also classified as well as the spying on Manchuria. Noone knows this so judge OUTSIDE of this information. ----------------NOW------------------ With the site of the palace gone, and motions of the Emperor dead, the election was off and the 40% of the population that voted in favour of the communist party felt they won somewhat of a victory. The rest mourned thier loss of the Emperor and called foul play. When The Northern Empire's Broadcasting Channel interupted every TV station saying that the heads of the armies were killed by a cruise missile from Manchuria, anger rallied the people to the Communist cause. The people would lead themselves to victory. News this morning: Sarah on the Radio: "I do not know WHY Manchuria, an ally and neighboring state, would attack us in our time of election and weak state. Maybe it was a marriage debate or possible threat of divorce?" **Classified** A report from the AS facility to GTI HQ: All is well even with the recent events. We are fine and have been given our own military personel from TNE. Classified Message to Sarah and Larsa:We have something...or someone that belongs to you. The Northern Empire's Broadcasting Channel: Cardinal of the Orthodox Church Markov(Russia) and Cardinal of the Orthodox Church Samson(Greenland) as well as deep followers of the faith protested the Communists, and in the upstart of anger and rage of the death of the Emperor and Generals, killed them and burnt the Cathedrals to the ground. The establishment of the Communist Government has begun. We agree and urge the illegal Government to allow a Peacekeeping force and independent Investigation to be conducted to prove if your intentions are true. The Emperor is either Dead or Missing. His regime has come to an end as he either does not want to be discovered or is deceased. The fire of the palace still burns so there is not much we can do for it. To Sarah: We ask you send Larsa..Personal gaurd as well if he wishes...We have his last blood line relative, Mikhail. He seems to not know who he is, or not recall the last several years. It seems Emperor Mykep had him kidnapped in Franzharia. OOC: Ask Ranather for details.
