Alcohol will of course be involved, but avoiding the arguments that normally ensue is the goal. Both Signatories of this pact will refrain from outright verbal hostility in all its form towards each other. This pact will not however restrict healthy debate or productive disagreement. [b][u]Article 1 (Non-Aggression)[/u][/b] They all sat down at the table together and decided that being friends was the best path forward for both. Both signatories will hereafter refrain from any form of hostile activity, hereafter defined as military force, internal subversion or espionage of any kind, against the other. [u][b]Article 2 (Assistance)[/b][/u] Someone asked: “Do you have any gravy for that Turkey”. Sometimes you just can’t eat turkey without some gravy. If either signatory requests assistance in the form of military assistance, economic aid, or political intervention, it is strongly encouraged for the other signatory to provide what help it can, though both parties accept that this is not an obligation. If you’ve got one of those big center pieces in the middle of the table, you may not be able to see what’s behind it. Should vital knowledge of a political or military nature come to the attention of one signatory, they are required to share it with the other. [u][b]Article 4 (Review)[/b][/u] Let’s go around the table and say what we are all thankful for. Both signatories agree to a mandatory three month review of this treaty. This is to ensure communication between and about each alliance in an effort to maximize the relationship between signatories. [u][b]Article 5 (Cancellation)[/b][/u] Finishing dinner and clearing the table It is the hope of both signatories that this pact may last forever, or until the bond it represents grows to the point where an upgrade is merited. Given the uncertainties of the future, however, it is recognized that either signatory may cancel this pact after giving 48 hours notice.
