Mafia Wars: Yuktobania

OOC: Ah darn it, my bad.

------------

IC: The knock out gas throw onto the cargo ship knocked out some of the crew members, but many of them were alerted and equipped their gas masks.

"Erm, we lost communication." one of the radio operators said. "Radio jammers, start deploying the distress flares." the captain ordered. Shortly, afterward, red flares were deployed, a signal to TUO members that someone needs help.

As for the tugboat, it blindly fired at anything that twitched in the water at and at the fishing boats, but too serious damages and was crippled. The heavier armed tugboat suddenly lost radio communication and its captain felt repairing the radio was more important than rescuing two ships.

Even though the radio wasn't broken...

OOC: NP.

IC: The flares had been accounted for. The weaponry they had brought should be more than sufficient to deal with what weapons remained, and boarders prepared themselves on two of the 'fishing' vessels. A machine gun provided suppression fire to keep the defender's heads down, at least, long enough for the first boarders to toss grenades over the side, waiting for the explosions, and climb up onto the deck.

The remaining four craft warily kept an eye on the other defending ships. One of the fishing vessels was lightly damaged, but returned fire at the tugboat that was firing blindly.

The 20 Northern Alliance soldiers finally arrived to the ports and moved up to the TUO mobsters. Platoon leader Roger North crawled over to a still alive TUO guy.

"Hey, my name's North, we're a mob from Blue Heaven, our name is the Northern Alliance. It looks like you guys need some help. Would you like us to assist you?"

OOC: It's his supply ship that's really under attack. The attacks on his base are hit-and-run.

"Well, the point still stands. It's eaither deal or no deal. No deal, I'm outta here."

"Currently our cargo ship is being attacked. Get rid of the attackers and we will have a deal. I can promise you that you will receive some of our high tech equipments such as advanced body armors that render most bullets harmless and guns that allow you to shoot at your enemies from a corner without exposing your face." the general replied.

OOC: Ok...no casualties listed?

IC: The spray of lead was to be expected, and the boarders returned fire, though one was caught before he could get to cover.

A heat-seaking, shoulder-launched SAM was launched at the helicopter, and efforts were reneweed to finish off the damaged tugboat when it nearly sank one of the fishing boats, using highly explosive shells.

-------

IC:

23 of TUO's members were dead or injured on the cargo ship. The gunfires on the cargo ship continued as a group of flamethrowers armed with full body armors that were the exact copies of the GLS military's advanced body armors that render small to medium sized bullets and shrapnel harmless (if hit constantly in a small spot, then the armoring will fail due to the gel being overwhelmed and the wearer will suffer from the increasing shockwaves).

The flamethrowers marched toward the suspected location of the cargo ship and started spraying flames everywhere to burn the pirates out.

The helicopter was also using GLS military's technology, Trophy Active Protection system, allowing it to fire a 20mm shell from one of the hidden cannons at the incoming missiles and ignited it mid-air. However, the pilots were worried that too many missiles and their helicopter would go up into flames.

As for the tugboat, it was blasted to pieces and sunk quickly, with no one alive.

Two other tugboats were approaching, firing HEAT shells at the fishing boats.

He awaited the young man to speak, so they can begin the conversation at hand.

My name is Alexei Makarov, of the Makarov Bratva. He waited for the conversation to begin.

OOC: OK, ummm...I'm calling shens on this.

The TUO was soundly defeated and yet they have full military technology? And where did you RP such body armor anyway? You basically are saying it'll stop all small arms fire.

The helicopter is...OK, I suppose.

OOC: They weren't completely defeated (their leader and a chunk of its members escaped and lived) and yeah, they stole and developed the technology from GLS. At that time GLS was developing a lightweight body armor using carbon nanotube and shock absorbing bullet proof gel, TUO got hold of that from one of their agents in GLS research department, and you get the point.

Continuous firing at a small area would eventually cause the armoring to fail and the wearer to take more and more shockwave impacts. I will edit my previous post.

Two other tugboats were approaching, firing HEAT shells at the fishing boats.

The boarders had actually climbed on in two different locations. In each of them, three more fell, half to the flamethrowers, and they grew frustrated that they couldn't seem to down those carrying them. Until one got the bright idea of shooting the weapons themselves, since flamethrowers violently explode when penetrated with a bullet...and if that didn't work they would concentrate their fire on one defender at a time...

Seeing the missile being ineffective on the helicopter, another one was quickly launched, and this time two others joined it from different directions.

The ship that was already damaged, one of the boarding craft, was hit square on in the engine compartment by one of the HEAT rounds, causing it to explode with no survivors, and possibly inflicting further damage on the supply vessel.

Another was grazed, and part of the crew assigned to repair it.

The surviving ships fired on the approaching tugboats, continuing to use highly explosive shells and 50 caliber machine guns.

The flamethrowers exploded into balls of fire, it turned out TUO neglected to armor their flamethrowers' weapons. Dozens of the cargo ship's crew members face-palmed when they noticed what happen and returned fire at the pirates. Debris flew everywhere from an exploding fishing vessel and flamethrowers and hit some of the crew members but they managed to survive.

--------------------------

"MISSILES FROM ALL DIRECTIONS!" the pilot screamed. Two missiles were shot down, one of them was damaged but managed to impact the main rotor. The helicopter spun out of control with its main rotor out of commission and crashed into one of TUO's approaching tugboats, sinking it.

As for the other tugboat, it was also sunken under the heavy firing.

The Principality had now started phase two of their plans as they had a secure headquarters to base themselves from. Most of their forces had actually remained off the coast of Yuktobania in a number of small civilian vessels which had either been purchused or stolen and now they started to make their way in to Yuktobania one after another their weapons at the ready in case they came under attack. The first vessel to enter caught a glimpse of the cargo ship being attacked and warned the others to stay away.

It was estimated that to get the full strength of the force assigned to Yuktobania ready it would take roughly two to three hours after which at least two thousand men and women would be ready to carry out operations minus any losses or complications due to outside interference.

It was clear they had surprised the TUO with the destruction of the flamethrowers. And though the move had cost them too, to a degree, it allowed them to push further into the supply ship. Any surrendering crew members would be taken back to the remaining boarding vessel and held prisoner.

The defenders HAD to be losing morale by now, and with those flamethrowers, most likely many more numbers than the Guild.

----

With all reinforcements for the defenders dealt with, eyes turned back to the ongoing firefight on board the supply ship, though a wary eye was kept out...

Another vessel moved alongside to send up more boarders.

OOC: Don't worry, this is the only vessel I will seize.

With what was a small army now in Yuktobania the Principality moved their forces out along the docksides with whole squads of men and women armed with assault rifles and rocket launchers patrolling. Armoured Technicals along with a few tanks were also sent out as support those these were first directed to secure the nearby airport so that the Principality could be reinforced by air as well as by sea.

The task force assigned to taking the airport encountered zero resistance on the way to and at their destination which allowed them to swiftly take the airport and its facilities with no problems. All of the aircraft were missing though which was a shame as were most of the weapons though some assault rifles and sidearms were recovered. The task force went ahead and established patrols around the airport's perimeter as well as deploying sandbags at the entrances to create defensive positions.

The dockside forces were taking more time as they were constantly stopping to search warehouses for any supplies, eventually they had a good stock of food and other basic supplies which had been left behind. The Principality terrorists soon had most of the docksides on their side under their control though when they found the Reisse hideout they left it and the area around it alone out of respect.

The territory under the Principality's control was now in the process of being converted into better defensive terrain with makeshift checkpoints being set up with sandbags and in the outer areas one or two small portable searchlights. The guards assigned to these checkpoints kept vigilant watch for anyone trying to approach them or trying to sneak past them. Anyone spotted would be told to halt and if they didn't comply they would be killed.

The cargo ship's crew members continued to fight, although they were retreating back inside their ship and barricading their steel doors.

When they had finally managed to kill or capture all who stood against them, they still had the steel doors to worry about.

The lieutenant in charge of the boarding almost cursed as he came across one such door, except he remembered that they had planned for this.

Silently, he called another member of the party forward from one of their own vessels, one who had a pack full of explosives.

He silently placed a shaped charge on each and every door that stood in their way, linking them all to one central detonator.

And though the explosions should propell any pieces of the doors at the defenders and not the attackers, they still took the precaution of staying behind cover at the moment the button was pressed...

Unkowingly, their territory edged up uncomfortably close to The Guild's, but it stopped just short of it. Covert sentries were placed to ensure no encroachments were made.

With the election of Yuktobania's Prime Minister beginning, the candidacy is drawing up. Alliances start to form between the various criminal organizations.

Josef Makarov was walking the streets of Cinigrad when he encountered a well dressed man wearing a pin of a redheaded female. Josef asked the man, "Why are you wearing that button."

The man told Josef, "We are supporting the female dream team for Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister!!"

Josef, interested in this asked, "And who is this 'female dream team' you speak of?"

"Mrs. Natalia Ivanova and Mrs. Katalina Hirazumi, they're the best decision for this country of ours, they promise to continue the policies of Catherine Reznov." The crowd behind him cheered as he went back to their group.

Josef thought about it, and decided to see if the two require his group's services.

Fortunately, they had not rushed through the doors, despite the anticipated surprise it should have given the defenders.

At one door, the first man through had died, and at another, the woman who'd tested the defense was wounded, but fortunately for The Guild, nothing further was sustained. Fortunately, they had one of the advantages that came with being the force that advanced—they could use weapons from captured or killed enemies.

To get an exact fix on the defending turrets, one of the oldest tricks in the book was used—mirrors. A small reflecting device was edged carefully past the edge of the hole, and the reflection used to aim grenades up and over the armor on the guns, to land just behind the persons manning the turrets.

If those didn't work, they'd use a rocket or two to simply blast the turrets to smithereens.

Any turret they were fortunate enough to capture whole, however, would be used against the enemy...

A message would arrive at the home of the local mafia.

The Guild is willing to support campaign to your benefit with propaganda, funds, etc. We will even throw in a shipment of free weapons. We simply ask the right to steal from whom we wish, with no more repercussions from law enforcement than you would allow to be drawn to yourselves, and to recruit from the local civilians.

If agree to this, you may also supply a list of individuals whom you do not wish us to steal from, and we in turn promise to leave them alone, and to refrain from any feuds with you or any other organizations to whom you are allied.

I am also amenable to a meeting, if that is what you wish. Please indicate your wishes clearly in your reply.

Signed, Nighthawk

At the bottom was the seal of The Guild.

And attached to the message would be an anonymous address they could send any reply to, be it via messenger or simply another note.

OOC: Those turrets are automated, controlled by their own computers that are programmed to shoot anyone who isn't wearing a recognizable TUO uniform.

IC:

The TUO soldiers inside the ship continued to wait for their enemies after setting up flamethrower and machine gunner nests.

It wasn't difficult to deal with the turrets. After all, automated weaponry was never designeds for intelligence. Once past those, The Guild's members advanced cautiously, carefully checking around each corner and through each door and hatch before afvancing any further. Any resistance they encountered would immediately stop the advance, and they would toss grenades (which were mostly captured from the enemy in the first place).

The cargo ship's defenders attempted to throw the grenades back at their enemies, sometime they succeeded, other times the grenades exploded in their hands.

The battle had been bloodier and nastier than anticipated. Almost half the attacking force had been killed, and some were wounded so badly it was unlikely any amount of medical attention would be able to save them.

But the ship, and its weapons, were theirs. Once the battle was over, and any boob-traps disabled, the leader sent up a messenger to notify the boarding ships, who in turn used flags to signal a previously-unseen ship...a tugboat that came to tow away the ship to a location further out to sea. Once there, several smaller ships would have anything useful unloaded from the cargo ship and onto them. Weapons, equipment, food and medical supplies, even simple information. It was all considered worthy of taking. The only thing they couldn't take, was, unfortunately, the ship itself.

It was sunk.

And now a message was sent to the Yakuza and the local Mafia, notifying these organizations that they had weapons for sale.

OOC: Things that were loaded in the cargo ship:

-Advanced reactive body armor (thin layer Kelvar and carbon nanotubes on the inner section (about 3mm thick), a slightly thicker layer of carbon nanotubes on the outer part (1mm thick) and shock absorbing bullet proof gel in between (1.6 cm thick). The helmets are 2mm overall thicker. There are also electrical charged carbon nanotubes, using a battery, that repel one or two 7.62 bullets at a time before it can impact the body armor, reducing the chance of injuries/death) Renders shrapnel and most bullets from small arms fire harmless unless if large amount of bullets impact a small spot. Wearers are still vulnerable to incendiary/semi-armor piercing explosive bullets (unless if they had been repelled by the electrical charged carbon nanotubes), grenades, or other large explosions. Body armor can be damaged with the following weapons described above and .50 caliber bullets (will only cause bruises to the wearer if not repelled).

-CornerShot anti-armor rocket launchers, 40 mm grenade launchers, automatic pistols, and sniper rifles (allows user to shoot without exposing his/her body)

-XM25 counter defilade target engagement system 40 mm grenade launchers (fires grenades accurately toward a target without guessing what degree to fire from)

-HK416 assault rifles

-Ears Gunshot Localization System (allows wearer to pinpoint the location of enemy snipers and take them out)

-Helmet mounted radar (allows soldiers to see from all directions using radar)

-Mobility Denial System (a mixture of powder and water to form a super slippery liquid to prevent enemy vehicle and infantry movement.)

-M110 SASS sniper rifles

-XM312 .50 caliber heavy machine guns

-M240 medium machine guns

-Miniguns

-ammunition for all weapons

-canned/dried/frozen food

-medical supplies

-fuel
