Zikawe Posted June 9, 2009 Report Share Posted June 9, 2009 I can see white spots among the rolls with the purple.Unfortunately, the crest wasn't just merely googled and put into our flag. Quite a bit of work was put into making it, and the two gray areas flanking the shield that I believe you're referring to were put there intentionally as it was thought it made the flag more interesting. The only thing I find missing would be in the banner below the shield, which was intentionally left blank until we could settle on a motto. As for finding it on google on the first page of images, we worked on it from a completely different site. But yea, I was wrong, I did not count on it being on google, as I've searched for it there myself, but then again, that was at least four months ago. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but are you saying its more likely that this graphic, which has been in use around the UPN forums for at least a month, was stolen out of your DoE from a mere 5 days ago? And you think that more likely than the possibility that someone just went to google, typed in "crest", and used the first result that came up? If you still have issues with our crest, you can come on IRC and find me (I'm usually around) and I'll be happy to tell you that, no, we in fact did not steal a design from your flag, and no, I have never heard of your alliance before today, so once again, no we did not steal your flag. Like I said, see me on IRC and we'll discuss it in private channels (ftw). You people still talking about the Elections? pfft...get with the game! Talk about the crest! Okay, here is the official Bones Malone Minister of Foreign Affairs comment on the crest: I really like it, I love the way that the purple works with the black and how our very own flag is incorporated with the design. I would like to thank Grendel, the UPN member who submitted the crest for voting by the alliance, and I would like to thank the alliance for selecting such an awesome crest for us to use.
