Yet another bad day for Monos Archein - dropping more than a third of a point to end the day only a quarter-point up on the Add Line. Another few days of those kind of showings, and we'll be left with only 32 in the Sanction Race. Umbrella, however, gets a repreive today despite only a small gain, and now half 0.20 to spare before their own elimination. Also looking for one of our many lines is the Random Insanity Alliance, who only needs a fifth of a point to move up into Tier Two. Meanwhile, RnR gains two members to break their tie with M*A*S*H. Up in Tier Two, the Multicolored Cross-X Alliance has a healthy gain to move back to within a tenth of a point of the United Purple Nations, while Athens continues to inch away from The Grämlins and Ragnarok doubles its lead over the Global Alliance And Treaty Organization. We're also on the verge of a changing of the guard within our sanctioned alliances - a double-digit drop from The Democratic Order leaves The Order Of Light only 0.02 points away from moving into 12th place and reclaiming their bold tags. The Mushroom Kingdom ran a risk of falling back into Tier One with their own double-digit loss today, but nevertheless came a whole lot closer to moving up one place, thanks to a near-Biggest Loser drop from the World Task Force, measured at a third of a point. Also looking to move up is the New Pacific Order, who takes advantage of an idle foe to make up most of their deficit against the Green Protection Agency, while the Mostly Harmless Alliance does an amazing (Hootastic?) job of passing Sparta for second place, gaining a total of five nations to gain an incredible half-point on the day. ---------- Related Links: Stats By Unspeakable Evil Tournament Edition Sanction Race How To Update the Amazing Sanction Race Sanction Race Update Creator spreadsheet: http://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?key=pFd...rmXWQ&hl=en [/update]

Gopherbashi
Alright, so here's my concept for determining who gets into the next round of Survivor. As it is right now, it's automatically given to the alliances in the Sanction Race - so it's limited to the top 33 alliances in the game. Sure, they get rewarded for being big and important, but I think the little guys might like a crack at the fun of this as well. So instead of just defaulting to Sanction Race alliances, we have a qualifying round instead. The top 120 alliances overall, each competing with the others on their own team colour for the chance to win one of their colour's qualifying spots. The more alliances a colour has, the more qualifying spots it will have - with roughly a quarter from each colour getting to advance to the main Survivor event. And just to be nice, we'll throw in a few wildcard spots as well - the 12 runners-up (one from each colour) will have a backup shot at three wildcard tickets. Seven days. 32 alliances advance out of 120. I've been keeping stats over the past three days, so the post below is how it will look. I modified Aqua's colour a little bit so we wouldn't all have to squint. Team colours were taken from Wiki pages, or for multicolored/none alliances, I placed you in whatever colour you had the most nations on. My thought is that qualifying takes place Nov. 1 to Nov. 8, with the main Survivor bit starting the day after. Shodemofi-NPO
I like it a lot Gopher, however what if for the wildcard spots it was just the 12 top gaining alliances that don't qualify for their color's spots, regardless of how many are from each color. So, there could be multiple from brown or blue, and maybe none from some other color depending on who gains the most.
