OOC: Gotta point out a linguistics thing. Tsyentralnaya (Центральная) is channel as in road or tunnel, not tv channel :P

IC: Stanislau Cobertsau is a famous actor in the nation of Belarus, and is guaranteed to be 100% authentic. On Jeyhun Stewartsov's word.

"That's a lie. It's well known that I was here first."

-Stevenov Colbertov

OOC: It's supposed to say Comedy Central in Russian, but you know how translators are.

All of you are lies. Now please stop spamming the crucial news' space. Oh, and all of you owe me 10 seconds of my life by cramming unimportant stuff in something interesting and important.

Message to the GDR from the Eurasian Union

Quite simply, we recognize the name and leader change within the HRE, but seeing as the signers of the war peace terms have no power and may not have even had any power when signing the document (as the change was nearly right after the changes), we request that the GDR resign the document, or at the very least, acknowledge that the Emperor and Chancellor's signatures were legal, hold merit, and as such the GDR will stand by the terms they offered and agreed to.

"For reference, we request that confirmation be given regarding the authenticity of the past signatures. We also request that the current signature of the new leadership be transmitted to Eurasian Union HQ for proper filing"

"I can say without any regret that the signatures are as authentic as they are, and that they have the same validity as they had before the change. However, the latter point will require some time, as we are still reorganizing. There is much to do, and a country needs to be reordered. Right now, that is more important to me, and I hope you do understand that."

"When the papers were signed, did the Emperor and chancellor signing them have the power to enforce it? It seems unlikely due to the sudden government change. You can understand our concern, and we simply request the new government re-sign the terms to ensure there is no confusion in the future should an issue arise stemming from the validity of the signatures of the previous H.R.E government."

"If it qualifies as a new nation, why should it have to sign a treaty for the actions of a previous nation that simply occupied the same area? Completely new leaders, laws, and philosophy counts as a new nation if you ask me." -President Uberstein

"I never said it qualified as a new nation. A government change does not constitute a new nation, nor does it absolve the nation of its agreements."

"A complete change of a nation's Constitution and way of working constitutes a new nation. It's common sense." -President Uberstein

"It's only a scapegoat excuse to call yourself a new nation in order to remove yourself from any agreement your nation agreed to abide by. The GDR even stated they would agree to uphold any agreements the previous government made. The signatures requested are to ensure the validity of the agreement to the current government of the region."

"So...the EU is simply nagging about something that has already been solved? Or are they just saying that they completely distrust this new government's word?" -President Uberstein

"And we all know that the one thing to expect from Germans is that after a war, when faced with heavy reparations, after having already created a new government system that thinks that they will be welcomed as a new nation rather than carrying with it the qualms of the old nation, is hit with the reparations anyway, no one of Austrian descent will ever, ever take their nationalism too far, hating the wrongs done to their nation, and start a career of harsh racism, authoritarian government, and overall evil starting in Munich and ending when they become dictator of the land. That would just be silly."
