Administrative Organization of The Kingdom of Cochin

There are 21 provinces and Cochin as its capital. Cochin is the new name given to the historical town of Kashi or Kashgar in Himalayas.Each Province is governed by a Provincial Governor assisted by a Deputy Inspector General of Police who holds a rank of Major General. Provinces are divided into Districts. Each district shall be administered by a Superintendent of Police holding a rank of Brigadier General. Cities shall be administered by Mayors and assisted by Commissioners of Police who shall be a Colonel.

The Military Provinces are ruled by senior Military Commander of that sector and are those territories with significantly less civilian population. Special permits are required for travel to Military Provinces.

Principal Industries of the Kingdom of Cochin

Navaratnas or the Nine Gems of Cochin industries

1. Larsen and Toubro- L&T is a world class construction and infrastructure development company that has executed many huge projects world wide. They are the principal contractors of Military Engineers Corps and have had roles in constructing the myriad of Airfields that dot the Kingdom.

2. State Bank of Tripunithura - SBT is a state owned enterprise and principal executors of the State Treasury. SBT also has a prominent commercial segment which finances all sorts of inductrial and commercial ventures in and out of Cochin.

3. Fertilizers And Chemicals Travancore Ltd - FACT is the largest company in Cochin's chemical industry. Their main business is in manufacturing products of agricultural industry but they have also made strategic inroads into Defense Industry. They had contributed hugely to the agricultural revelution that transformed the semi-arid landscape of Cochin.

4. Varma Institute of Fundamental Research - A scientific research institute directly run by Cochin's Royal Family, VIFR promotes technological research and advanced scientific research.

5. Tratum Infosystems Pvt. Ltd- Tratum is the largest and most successful IT company in Cochin. It's main businesses are in the fields of artificial intelligence, banking, aerospace, healthcare. Tratum also has a substantial R&D base and it has developed several of the CRICK supercomputers used by RCDF.

6. Encompass Technologies Pvt. Ltd. - ETPL is a company that deals with Physical, Electronic and Network Security and safety systems. ETPL is a leader in develping cutting edge surveillance and monitoring systems. ETPL is a partner in developing the satellites of RCDF's Strategic Command.

7. DNH Healthcare Pvt Ltd. - DNH is a giant in Cochin's Health care industry. It operates many super speciality hospitals in the Kingdom and has set up many charitable missions outside Cochin. The Royal Family is a shareholder in DNH.

8. Majestic Hospitality Services Pvt Ltd. - MHS is a leading hotel and restaurant chain in Cochin. They own prominent hotels such as the Grand Poorna in Cochin. MHS also has a number of hotels worldwide.

9. Kohinoor Rare Earths Limited - KREL is the leader in Cochin's mining industry. They own and operate several mines in and around Cochin mining coal and other minerals. KREL is also engaged in oil prospecting and operates the oil and natural gas field in Karagandy Province.

HALOBs are based on the B52s and IL76s. They were developed as a long range bomber suitable for strategic area bombing. Since its inception it has also been widely used as a Heavy lift transport aircraft.

4. UCAV-F (Hornet) - Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle - Fighter

Hornet is a 4th Generation fighter powered by 2 GAL RX100 engines with thrust vector. It is armed with two Vulcan 20 mm guns and two Metalstorm 20mm guns. It can be armed with 6 AAMs, 4 on wings and 2 on fuselage. It can also be fixed with 2 FAST Packs.

Hornet has a range of 500 km ,a service ceiling of 40000 ft and a top speed of 1.25 Mach. It has mid flight refuelling option. It has a BVR Radar.

Hornets are controlled from ground by specially trained Ground Controllers and connectivity is terrestrially, aerially or satellite based.

5. UCAV-B (Raven) - Unmanned Combat Aerial Vehicle - Bomber

Raven is a 4.5th Generation stealth bomber powered by 4 GAL RX100 engines. It is armed with 2 AAMs, wingmounted. It can be carry eight 4000 pound bombs on its fuselage and wings. It can also be fixed with 2 FAST Packs.

Raven has a range of 500 km ,a service ceiling of 40000 ft and a top speed of 0.8 Mach. It has mid flight refuelling option.

Ravens are controlled from ground by specially trained Ground Controllers and connectivity is terrestrially, aerially or satellite based.

6. S-RECO - Surveillance- RECOnnaissance vehicle

S-RECO is the main workhrose of Cochin's surveillance services. It is a light UAV powered by one GAL RX100 engine. S-RECO has a BVR down look radar scope, all waether IR cameras, stealthy bodyframe and laser targetting. With its BVR radar it can provide cluster AWACS capability for combat monitoring.

It has a service ceiling of 50000 Ft, a max speed of 0.7 Mach and can fly for 24 hours at a stretch.

7. LCH Piranha - Light Combat Helicopter

Piranha is the main attack helicopter of RCDF. It is a Fifth Generation Attack helicopter with a stealthy bodyframe, IR suppressed engines and non directional, noise suppressed blades.It is armed with 2 pods of sixteen 8 inch free flight rockets, 8 ATGMs and 2 AAMs. It also has a 7.62 mm MS GPMG and 2 Vulcan 20mm guns.

Piranha has mutually suspended rotor and body frame for added maneuverability and and enclosed tail rotor.

It has a max speed of 500 kmph, range of 500 km and is powered by 2 GAL RD350 engines.

8.MH53X

GAL has acquired rights to redesign and manufacture MH53s. The redesigned MH53s were classified MH53Xs. They are mainly used for Search and Rescue operations, Special operations etc. MH53Xs are now powered by 2 GAL RD550 engines.

9. UC60 - Blackhawk.

GAL has acquired rights to manufacture Blackhawk helicopters with the classification UC-60. They are mainly used for Search and Rescue, Special operations, Air Cavalry operations, ASW. The King uses a UC60 as his personal transport.

10. Bell 212

GAL has acquired rights to manufacture Bell 212s. They are used as general purpose helicopters and is the standard work horse of the RCDF .

Formed of retired service personnel from Royal Cochin Army, Royal Cochin Special Forces and Marine Corps. All civil servants have to members of NDC. Private individuals can also be voluntary members of NDC. NDC helps civil administration during natural and artificial calamities and they are liable to be ordered to perform combat oriented tasks in case of war. NDC members have to do 25 days of weekend garrison duty and 3 weeks of active duty per year.

2. Naval Reserve Corps

All retired sailors of Royal Cochin Navy comprise this group. Merchant Seamen possessing Seaman's License are also members of NRC. Private sailors can join NRC on a voluntary basis. Members of NRC have to do 3 weeks of active duty every year.

3. Reserve Aviators Corps

RAC is composed of retired air men from Royal Cochin Air Force and all individuals possessing Pilot's License in the Kingdom. Members of RAC have to undergo 3 weeks of active duty per year.

4. National Cadet Corps

NCC is the scout organization for school and college going students of the Kingdom. It is a voluntary organization. Members of NCC have to undergo 2 weeks of active duty per year. In case of war NCC is liable to issued non combat oriented tasks in combat zones.

Tours of duty for NDC, NRC and RAC comprise serving alongside regular personnel in active duty. Cadres of NCC undergo their tours of duty with RCA, RCN and RCAF units based within the Kingdom.

NATIONAL RESERVE INVENTORY

Quarter Master Command maintains the reserve equipment for all branches of Royal Cochin Defense Forces. The reserve equipments are warehoused in secure depots and issued to units as and when required. In times of emergencies these reserves can be issued to reserve personnel to form additional military units.

FUEL RESERVES

The Royal Cochin Defense Forces maintains reserves of fuel and petroleum products required for military purposes. Current inventory: 180 days of total combat usage requirements.

Department of Interior is responsible for maintaining the National Fuel Reserves required for civil purposes. Based on mean maximum fuel consumption trends studied on a national scale across board for a period of 6 years, the current inventory stands for 300 days.

NATIONAL DEFENSE DOCTRINE

Following incidents shall be considered casus belli and shall merit the launch of total conventional war by the Kingdom of Cochin

1. Offensive military action against any sovereign territory of the Kingdom

2. Any act of blockade against any territory of the Kingdom.

3. An offensive act against any military asset of the Kingdom.

4. An offensive against an accredited diplomat, Cabinet official or Flag Officer of Armed forces.

5. An offensive act against the King or any member of the Cochin Royal Family.

6. An offensive act against a vital national industrial asset.

7. An act of active espionage against the Kingdom discovered within the Kingdom.

All conditions declared above shall be taken as a declaration of war against the Kingdom of Cochin and is liable to result in launch of total conventional war.

Any act listed under Nuclear Defense Doctrine shall result in the launch of total war.

NUCLEAR DEFENSE DOCTRINE

The Kingdom of Cochin relies on Fission Type Nuclear Weapons as its Weapon of Mass Destruction.

Chemical and Biological Weapons are considered as Weapons of Mass Destruction by the Kingdom.

In the event of a WMD attack of any kind on any part of the Kingdom, the Kingdom reserves the right to retaliate with its own WMDs.

The Kingdom of Cochin espouses "No First Strik" principle with regard to Strategic Nuclear Weapons (Greater than 70 KT)

The Kingdom of Cochin shall resort to First Strike with tactical nuclear weapons (Lesser than 50KT) in case of application of Scorched Earth Policy.

SCORCHED EARTH POLICY

Condition One:

This is a policy to be effected in regions of the Kingdom rated witrh a Class A Threat to Sovereignty. These are provinces which are conventionally less defensible and is liable to be conquered in prolonged assault.

These provinces are generally subject to massive investment and development. To prevent these from falling into enemy hands suitable defensive measures are to be used.

In case of threat to collapse the Theater Commander is authorized to use Tactical Nuclear Weapons on enemy units that have encroached the territorial boundaries with concurrence with National Command Authority.

The weapons may only be used within the Kingdom's boundaries and never at any point beyond.

In case of total Provincial loss vital industries and installations are to be destroyed by prepositioned conventional munitions.

Condition Two:

In case of a defensive war, if the Kingdom's conventional forces are forced to retreat, usage of Tactical Nuclear Warheads is authorized to prevent further enemy onslaught. It must be used only in cases of dire emergencies when the Kingdom's sovereignty is threatened. The warheads may only be targetted within the original boundaries of the Kingdom and in no cases are they to be targetted at any point outside the Kingdom's borders.

AIR WARFARE DOCTRINE

The Royal Cochin Air Force is the aerial wing of the Royal Cochin Defense Forces. RCAF has 56 regiments of 50 fighter aircrafts each. Kingdom of Cochin uses Multi Role Combat Aircraft for its purposes.

The various fighter aircrafts in RCAF are:

Jadayu Mk.1 (JM1) - 10 regiments

Jadayu Mk.2 (JM2) - 20 regiments

Mig35 - 6 regiments

Su30 - 6 regiments

Mig29 - 6 regiments

Royal Cochin Air Force also employs Unmanned Combat Aircrafts of two types:

UCAV-F Hornet - 40 regiments

UCAV-B Ravens - 20 regiments

The Hornets and Ravens are mission specific platforms. Hornets are used primarily for air superiority, AWACS neutralization and radar suppression attacks. Ravens are used for ground assault, air field neutralization operations.

The same aircraft can perform different missions depending on additional mission specific modifications.

For eg: A Mig29 can perform Air Superiority missions when armed primarily with Air to Air missiles and FAST packs. The same Mig29 on returning to base can be fitted with ground search radar and laser pointers for ground attack mode. The aircraft can fly on Radar Suppression modes, deep penetration strikes, electronic warfare and also Strategic attack modes.

A flight crew is trained for all these scenarios and thus during combat conditions an experienced ground crew can change the load settings for maximum effectiveness.

A regiment of 50 aircrafts is divided into 2 squadrons of 25 aircrafts which are further subdivided into squads of 8 and flight groups of 4.

Air warfare depends upon AWACS coverage. While Merat AWACS are commonly used for combat AWACS duty, higher powered Halob Strategic AWACS are also used. Swarms of S-RECOs can also provide AWACS coverage for air warfare in certain conditions.

The RCAF lays focus on BVR combat using the long range AIM-RL, AIM-R and AIM-H missiles. The criteria is to eliminate opposition from a greater range so that when the target comes within visual range they be severely attenuated and disorientated. RCAF fighters are also capable of carrying heavier weapon systems like KUB and GOAB.

During combat air neutralization is the first priority followed by Air superiority to facilitate ground combat.

Air neutralization is achieved by directly engaging enemy aircrafts to aerial combat, destroying enemy Airborne radar assets and where possible feint enemy air planes to fall into the Kingdom's ground based air defense traps. Elimination of enemy AWACS is a priority mission and to be undertaken with all means even if it requires the using of NMP1s.

Air superiority to be maintained by deep incursion strikes against enemy air field and neutralization of enemy air defense networks. Enemy airfields to be neutralized with GB3s, BKT2 and MNTs. Air defenses to be neutralized using NMP1s and SHARM.

Once air superiority is achieved Ground support operations can be conducted in force. It is a standard doctrine of Royal Cochin Defense Forces to minimize ground combat casualties by engaging enemy ground units through attenuating air attacks before actual ground contact. Primary targets would be logistics units followed by armored formations which would be engaged in this fashion.

S-RECO UAVs and Raptor UAVs would determine enemy ground formation using terrain scanning radar and infra red cameras. The Raptors shall then target these formations using lasers. High altitude fighter bombers shall release GB4 Anti Armor Cluster Munitions which would be terminally guided by the Raptors. These smart weapons shall severely attenuate the numbers of enemy ground forces, primarily their logistics train.

This would be followed by UCAV-B Raven attacks on the formations. Certain casualty is to be expected during this phase of combat from low altitude tactical air defense systems employed by the enemy and hence the employment of Unmanned systems. The Ravens shall also engage these air defense units. Once air defense is fairly suppressed Metac Aerial Artillery Platforms would attack the logistic columns and armored units from medium altitudes.

The final assault would be by the helicopters of the RCA units and finally the armored units themselves.

The main territory of the Kingdom of Cochin , including the national capital, prime industries and principal military bases.

BALOCH PROVINCE

Baloch Province is home of the RCNB Gosree the third and the biggest naval base of the Royal Cochin Navy. Baloch Province is also home to several research institutions, military bases and through the Karakoram Railway serves as one of Cochin's principal ports.

RATNAGIRI ENCLAVE

RCNB Ratnagiri is Cochin's first naval base. Once the principal port of Cochin, RCNB Ratnagiri is today one of the principal West Coast Fleet Bases.

STATION GANGOTHRI

The Cochin territory in Antarctica. This territory in East Antarctica is home to several high technology research establishments and is protected by Border Guards. Gangothri also boasts a fully functional port and Naval Base.

SUB CONTINENTAL DEFENSE NETWORK

The SCDN is an integrated acoustic/electro magnetic and tectonic surveillance system that is installed to protect the coasts of the Kingdom. Arrayed at three distances, 200 NM (light blue), 100 NM (sky blue), 50 NM (dark blue), it is an insurmountable defense of the Kingdom.

COCHIN SOSUS

Developed as the Dragon Empire SOSUS, the Cochin SOSUS network is a principal Submarine surveillance system laid from RCNB Gosree in Baloch Province to RCNB Gangothri in Antarctica. The precise location of the Cochin SOSUS is classified. The feed from Cochin SOSUS is also occasionally studied by scientists and researchers in the fields of Oceanography, Marine Geology and Marine Biology.
