My Trade Proposal to the Toronto Blue Jays
If you haven't heard, the best pitcher in baseball Roy Halladay is being shoped by the Toronto Blue Jays. This guy is a stud. Easily one of the best pitchers in baseball. Of course it will have to take a hefty price to get him. The teams interested in getting Roy are the Philadelphia Phillies, Los Angelas Angels, Los Angelas Dodgers, Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, and a couple other teams. The clear front runner in the "Roy Halladay Sweepstakes" are the Philadelphia Phillies. Not only are they the defending World Series Champions, but they also have the prospects to get Roy and Roy wants to come to Philly. There have been some controversy on wheater Philadelphia should trade our top prospects especially pitchers Kyle Drabek and J.A Happ and position players Dominic Brown and Michael Taylor. The Blue Jays want Drabek, Happ, and Brown. Of course they won't get them all. As a Phillie fan, I don't want to totally destroy the future for Halladay, but I am willing to pay a price. Since this is the best time for Halladay to be traded, Toronto knows that whoever makes the best deal this week will be the best deal they will get since Halladay will have more playing time for the possible team. Now if I were the Phillies, this is what I would do to get Halladay.
Philadelphia Phillies Get:
1.) Roy Halladay
Toronto Blue Jays Get:
1.) J.A Happ
2.) Dominic Brown
3.) Carlos Carasco
4.) Jason Donald
This trade in my opinion is a benefit for both teams. Philly will get the best pitcher in baseball and Toronto will get 2 top prospects in J.A Happ and Dominic Brown and also two solid prospects in Carlos Carasco and Jason Donald. Feel free to express your opinion.
