Most view Karma, the word, as "what goes around comes around". This is simplistic in the extreme; actually Karma is a restoration of balance.

Those that style themselves Karma have swung the pendulum to far the other way and what exists under their war of revenge is still out of balance. Therefore, if Karma principles have any validity, a balance back the other way will take place. I say if because in-balances exist almost everywhere you look.

Karma being a religious concept has correction happening in another life frame to justify the inequalities encountered almost each day.

So what is Karma and its participants Kismet? Ascendancy followed by stagnation followed by decline and the pendulum swinging the other way.

Astute readers might suggest this is Karma in action and I will not disagree.
