How does this work?

People continue to claim that the game is not dying, which I personally find very funny. How can somebody claim that seeing as we are no barely over 12,000? Last month we had 13,000 easily. This is clearly the lowest we have been since the game was just getting it's footing. The game is clearly not thriving, it is not growing, so how can anybody claim it is not dying? Also, enough talk about how it is the game mechanics, yes the game has little pop, but stop complaining if you don't want to suggest something in the suggest box to make it better. I guess this post is just like all the other ones before, to try and find a way to stimulate interest in the game, because I enjoy the game, and others do to, but at this rate it will not survive past next summer.

People don`t have patience. It takes time to build your nation and people don`t like that. They want ease to do great like the game that must not be named. This truly is a test of patience(CyberNations) for people.

Well, the population is dying off, and the game mechanics themselves are not going to develop any further, but I'm stil hopeful that we can get some fun out of this even with reduced numbers. There seems to be some consolidation of AA's going on, which is long overdue imho, so that can help countereact some of it and maybe lead to more streamlined, high-impact diplomacy. We might find that 10-25 alliances jockeying for position is more entertaining than 100+ wrapped up in a web together.

its not thriving but that doesnt mean its dying. Since dying implies an immediate end date (and ive been hearing dying for years). As long as Admin is willing to keep running it there are thousands of people who will keep playing. Plenty of people still playing and enjoying it.

^ This, 12'000 people logging in and participating at varying levels makes CN eminently viable.

I wonder what would happen if Admin set the displayed total of nations to a gradually increasing number?

I probably knew a fraction of the thousands that allegedly left after I got here, so dying or not, I don't really see what's to get worked up over.

To me the only way the game won`t be totally dead by the end of next summer is to add a United Nations. It will at least allow the game to live another 3 months to a year. People will be interested in the game agian.

Now I'm not an "awooga, awooga, abandon ship/the sky is falling" guy, but don't you think the lack of stuff to do is part of why we still have the nations we do? All anyone needs to do is collect once a month or so.

Honestly, I'll never understand why people think game changes will somehow increase nation count. If you look at it, game updates actually decreased them. When there were many more nations in existence at a time, wasn't the game a lot simpler? If you don't like reading and/or posting on here or at least your own alliance forums, you're probably at a greater chance of leaving. So, while this probably isn't a new argument, shouldn't any "game updates" come from we the players?

The best way to start increasing the activity of the game will be via internal alliance means; if an alliance boosts its activity, it will provide a boost for the game as a whole.

The trouble is, boosting that activity is so difficult :/
