Does NSO Run Legacy?

So I came across something I found interesting/amusing quite recently. I've been following the Legion/Tetris war with a bit of an interest. One of the things I saw was several members joining each side. This happens enough, sure, so whatever. Members leave alliances and join others, this especially happens during war time. One of the names I noticed was August Heimmsmeyer (better known as King Kaiser) from Legacy; he joined the New Sith Order. Big loss for Legacy to have their FA guy depart to fight in the Incompetence Extravaganza.

Then, yesterday, while checking out the OWF I noticed Legacy had their first ever elections. The first thing that jumped out at my eyes was "Minister of Foreign Affairs: King Kaiser". Now, that can't be right... Legacy just elected a member of NSO to be their head of FA? No way. I decided to get answers:

01[20:45] <%Gibsonator21> Sarmatian[Legacy]

[20:45] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> sup

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> i thought King Kaiser was in NSO?

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> how is he your MoFA?

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> nah

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> he aint

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> in NSO? or he aint your MoFA?

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> he had the tag as a joke

01[20:46] <%Gibsonator21> i dont know what tag you're talking about

[20:46] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> trust me, ive had a few i am lame members changing tags <_<

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> oh

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> then what do you speak of

01[20:47] <%Gibsonator21> his AA reads New Sith Order, but in your announcement it says he's your MoFA

[20:47] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> his AA is legacy

01[20:47] <%Gibsonator21> link?

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> 227416

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> $%&@

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> http://www.cybernations.net/nation_drill_display.asp?Nation_ID=227416

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> thats his nation, isnt it?

[20:48] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> no

01[20:48] <%Gibsonator21> then whats his?

[20:48] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> watched it at one point

[20:49] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> why should i tellyou that :P

01[20:49] <%Gibsonator21> because i want to know why your MoFA is in NSO

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> lol, i've got logs of him giving me that link, so i know its ihm

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> him*

[20:50] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> i know

[20:50] <+Sarmatian[Legacy]> i was texting him about it last night

01[20:50] <%Gibsonator21> he's been there for 5 days lol

06[20:51] * +Sarmatian[Legacy] sigh

Sarm went AFK moments later. I didn't get a real answer, so maybe someone else can explain it to me. Why is Legacy's Minister of Foreign Affairs currently a member of the New Sith Order? Does NSO run Legacy? Is Legacy supporting NSO militarily in their war against The Legion?

One nation will not change the fact that NSO is being beaten so I don't care, even if the nation in question is a high gov of Legacy, this just shows how amateur is the leadership of Legacy.

We were once brothers remember?

I guess since we're not that useful to you anymore you'll just !@#$ talk right?

Glimpsing at their charter, I see no requirement for a nation to remain on the Legacy AA in order to continue membership. The only thing that makes me wonder is why an alliance uninvolved with any of the combatants would permit one of their gov to interfere.

Can they not control their members? Or is it a sanctioned aid?

*shrug*

Who gives a flying $%&@ if theyre denying it. Sarm is ok with his MoFA being on the NSO AA to knock the !@#$ out of Legion end of storyIn short, Sorry Gibs but you;re being an attention whore. Go call out Invicta..thats fun
So then Legacy is assisting in military action against The Legion. Gotcha. And lol, what's that saying about a pot and a kettle? Go brush your stache.

Dual membership.

Problem solved, we can all go home now.

I don't think this would be the first instance of double membership. Is it confirmed that NSO accepted him in their ranks, anyway? Or is he technically just a ghost? With that said, as a government level person and a war are involved, I can understand the train of thought that could lead The Legion to hold this event against Legacy (whether The Legion currently has and/or will ever have the power to do something about it, or not).I am puzzled by this blog entry's title, anyway. A government member (not supreme leadership) of Legacy ghosting or being a grunt in NSO doesn't mean that the NSO "runs Legacy", does it?

My issue with it is that they elected him as MoFA while his AA was "New Sith Order" - and it remains that.

The title was meant to say "Hey, an NSO member is high gov in Legacy!" Close enough, I thought. :P

In this blog CSN tries to forget it is run by Xiphosis.

I'll admit it: Xiph is the leader of my alliance. You got me.

Huh. That's interesting. Care to comment, Sarm?

heh. You do realize that MoFA is but 1 gov position right? Sarm is the leader, not King Kaiser as well. So really, you are 0 for 2 and stretching quite a bit Gibby-boy.

He's Legacy upper gov but in NSO. "Run" is a stretch, yeah, but that's surely plenty of influence and knowledge of Legacy internal affairs. I don't get how anyone can support electing a member of a different alliance as MoFA.

Reread the thread actually. The elections were held a few days prior to being posted on the OWF. So, most likely what you have is King Kaiser being elected and then leaving Legacy afterwards.

You are just attempting to smear Legacy's name by any means possible and it is coming off as a desperate attempt to do so. I would say nice try but come on Gibby, you are way better than this.

Alright, more fact checking:

King Kaiser has been a member of NSO for six(6) days. Nation link.

Legacy announces their government, with King Kaiser as MoFA two(2) days ago. Link to thread.

There was a four day difference between King Kaiser changing his AA, and Legacy's government being announced publicly. So when the elections were held or not, I don't care. King Kaiser was announced as MoFA well into his career as a member of the New Sith Order. Four days after Sarm couldn't come up with someone to replace him? It's clear they elected a member of NSO as upper gov, or they are helping NSO militarily against The Legion. I don't see any way around that.

Let me ask you something, do you see any DoWs from Legacy on Legion? I don't.

Now, what I do see is someone trying his best to smear Legacy's name (as shown by your title and OP) most likely in response to previous threads made by Legacy smearing GOD's name. Did you honestly think Sarm was gonna say !@#$ to you? Why should he? If Legacy's allies do not care, then why should Sarm care a bit about what a member of GOD thinks?

Also, had King Kaiser been a member of Legacy when elected, then you are wrong about Legacy electing a member of NSO to upper gov. Also, I could bet that King Kaiser is simply ghosting NSO at this moment and is not a "true" member of NSO, much like I am ghosting Legion and am nowhere remotely close to being a "true" member. (Legion actually does not process membership applications during wartime from what I have been told)

And we already covered the military aid bit. So, from what I can tell, you are wrong on all counts and refuse to admit it.

Maggie you should just declare on Legacy in defense of Legion if it means so much to you.

And now for the real question:

Does anyone give a damn? If Legion doesn't declare on Legacy in the next five minutes, then Im guessing the answer is no. Because admin knows you don't really care, you're just looking for a chance to stir the pot. :P

I run legacy. I have a really good burn deck. Mountains and lightning bolts mostly. Lava spike, rift bolt, chain lightning, all the good stuff. Price of Progress for punishing crazy lands, and Fireblast for a good finisher when needed.

Also running Keldon Marauders and Goblin Guide for some good creatures that hit hard, Magma Jet for Scry, and Earthquake and Smash to Smithereens to deal with certain threats.

If NSO also runs legacy, I'd love to play some time.

If I wanted to smear Legacy (better than this), I have logs that would do the trick. This just comes off as amusing to me, so I decided to share it. If Legion/their allies have no problems with it, that's fine. I'll laugh at how pathetic Legacy is that they can't control their own members (which I'm sure is the case because Sarm has never been able to control MaggieKK).

Right. If you support electing members of different alliances into gov, that's fine. Maybe I should run for Legacy MoFA in three months...

I'm not wrong, you haven't proven anything. You've just given your opinion on things, and we have different opinions.

Chron we haven't talked since the 6 million dollar war... No way you know me well enough to make that call. :P
