Made a sig and said stuff
A long time ago I had a blast making a plethora of sigs and propaganda for Zenith and the bloc we were in. Haven't put my hand towards anything in a while. Did a simple one for TOP.
This one was really fun and I just finished it. Took about an hour. My photoshop program, probably the only legitimate program I ever purchased (for about $300 back in the day) and is one I really feel like I got a good value for my dollar. This was before any free graphics program was available.
My only complaint about computer graphics, since I grew up in a period before graphic programs could do what they do now (hell, my first computer didn't even have a graphics card. Orange monochrome all the way.), is that I can't actually draw anything. The mouse just doesn't translate those motor skills I've already leaned very well. Sure, I can edit some pixels and do some broad sketching, but the finishing strokes take a different set of motor skills.
My ex had a pad and electronic pen, which was pretty cool, but I didn't use it enough to get the hang of drawing while looking at the screen. Surprisingly difficult and/or disconnecting.
At one time I had a scanner, bought at a garage sale, but it was too old for the computer I use now. So I had an old computer I used to scan and then import it to this one. That was pretty awesome, though, 'cause I could draw and then integrate into the photoshop.
Both are long gone, but hey, I still have a lot of fun with stock images and photos and such. It felt good to work the ol' creative nodes again.
