I don't see the Jaguars taking Bowers. He has amazing upside, but that's the thing. Gene Smith(The GM) is a high floors guy, not high ceiling. But, with Bowers falling that far, it could definitely happen.

8. Tennessee - Blaine Gabbert, QB, Missouri

Well, I'm not sure what to think.

On one hand, I'm a Titans fan (unfortunately, most years), and Gabbert would be a pretty decent choice at quarterback, not somebody who will turn the team around overnight and become a national phenomenom, but a solid player that you can build a team around - then again, I thought similar things about Rothlisberger, and a little before I started paying much attention to the draft, I can only imagine what people thought about Tom Brady, if they had even heard of him.

On the other hand, I'm a fan of the Kansas Jayhawks, and hate the thought of cheering for anybody who has played for Mizzou.

I hope that your right/wrong.

Yeah, with the Jags and their yearly quest for a pass rush, I just couldn't see them passing on Bowers if he fell that far ...Also: Sup.

Well, as a Jags fan, I can't say I'd cry if they picked him if he fell that far. Now, if we pulled a Derrick Harvey and moved up for him, I'll give myself a lobotomy.

Also, long time no talk

Munchak has said he wants a somewhat mobile quarterback. That means no Mallet, thank God. Gabbert might not be there at 8 also.

I'm really leaning toward them drafting Auburn's Fairley at DT first. Depending on how fast the QB's start flying off the board, they may try to trade up to get Kaerpernick, Ponder, or Locker. I'm fairly convinced that a QB will be drafted by them in the first or second round.

When Gabbert fell, I thought the Redskins were going to pick him. Glad they did not. Happy to see them trade down to get a much needed extra 2nd round pick. Was not sure about Kerrigan but the more I heard about him the more I liked the pick.

Hope they get two more quality picks in the 2nd round.

The Ponder thing blew my mind. It seemed like as soon as we drafted Locker, the Jags had to move up to get their QB...but I still thing Ponder would have been their in the second round. Most teams had him behind Kaerpernick and Dalton I believe.
