A Note on PB Military Tactics

As most of you probably know, RoK is at war with PC and PC only. As much as some would like that to change, we are not at war with other PB alliances.

Now, why is that important? It's pretty obvious that they are getting beaten pretty badly. They've sent out surrender messages quite a lot of times. But that is irrelevant when compared to my next point.

They've been beaten so badly by us and our friends, they have resorted to asking their allies for the largest form of defense. For new nations. Since iFOK began peacing out of their wars, over half a million NS of nations has moved onto the Poison Clan AA. Quite a few large Umbrella nations have moved onto the AA as well. They've been moving back and forth ever since, rebuilding on safe AAs and re-entering the conflict against RoK.

We're not scared of you. We are ready and willing to fight each and every one of you. You might want to keep yourselves out of fighting us officially, but we aren't stupid. We know what's up.

I hope you enjoy fighting from underneath your shroud. Its pretty honorable.

The Umbrella nation who joined PC was a ghost? A ghost who sends aid to allies of the AA he is ghosting, interesting. :v:

Since RoK declared war on PC, 19 nations joined PC's AA, what represents 22% of the total nations in Poison Clan.

6 of these nations are above 50k NS and represent alone 17% of PC's NS

Very interesting how a small alliance gains so many members so fast.

It's not as sinister as you think, for literally years PC has had a fair number of either ex-members or people who just prefer drifting join them in times of war. Half their current gov came to PC in that way. Its mostly a symptom of how many raiders/war junkies/PC lovers there are out there who get bored of being in any one alliance during peace time. I've done that twice myself and know a couple dozen others who have as well.

That's rich: GOD members telling other people they should communicate with Rok gov. You get one turnip :lol1:

Also, SunnySideKing has been wearing Umbrella for weeks, if he's a ghost, why wasn't he dealt with?

Roquetin has no reason to lie, he always talk the truth thus we should stop questioning and believe in him. :v:

You sure that he's been Umbrella 'for weeks', Schatt? I dunno that he hasn't, but when last I noticed him (probably last month, or some time shortly before) he wasn't on the Umbrella AA, nor that of any other combatant in this fight.

By your logic, Jeezy is a new member because he hopped off of the AA and back on.

Regardless, what this blog contains as 'evidence' of many people joining PC from other PB alliances was debunked long before the blog was posted.

Congratulations on finding 2 or 3 nations fitting a description then proclaiming it as the "tactics" of an entire bloc.

Congrats on finding one guy fooling around in Polar and then proclaiming it as the actions of the entire alliance.

Lol, I'm CN famous. DaDreadLord was probably my first person I ZI'ed, of course I can't take all the credit (looks like he rebought some infra, congrats PC!). Also, I'm a poor example because TOP will clearly tell you I'm an infra hugger.

Stop bawwing and just enjoy the fallout. You tried to pick an easy target and now you are getting walloped harder than you though you would. You underestimated PC, bad move bro.

The claims in this blog are pretty serious, but it doesn't look like you have the documentation needed to back them up. That people might move to join Poison Clan while they're at war shouldn't be a problem, but if they were alliance-hopping back to their original alliance in order to avoid counters from you guys then you need to document it and get them treated as rogues.

Schatt: Because Sunny Side King's lust for war was beneficial to us for the time being? It was a surprise to me when he hopped on our AA randomly, but I wasn't going to complain if he was already hitting targets we were fighting and not messing up. He never submitted a formal application, never was in our private irc channel or had access to our forums and personally, I've never interacted with him and I can say the same goes for most people in the alliance. I mean if we actually wanted to do a mass ghosting of PC to hit Rok, we could have. So far the efforts have been lackluster if that was our intent.

We didn't underestimate PC's fighting ability, in fact it appears we overestimated that ^_^ Simply underestimated the lengths to which they would go in order to escape the beat down they've been receiving.

I shouldn't be commenting, but I felt this needed to be said.

During times of war, whatever you do within the confines of the game, and only within the confines of the game, is acceptable. The objective is to win, and failing that, the objective becomes "Do as much damage as you possibly can" and that is all that matters. Goldielax is missing the point entirely, and what he's saying is actually flat out wrong/a lie. Poison Clan is getting nations from other alliances, even sleeper nations from their protectorates, but that doesn't matter, because the only reason you're posting this is because you didn't think of it first. Poison Clan has used this tactic for a long time, and you know what? It's a good tactic, and this is war.

You are at war with Poison Clan, and you're expecting people to follow some invisible rules of warfare that exist only in your own minds. The only thing that matters in warfare is the outcome, anything you do (outside of OOC !@#$%^&*, and if you even consider that, you should be strung up by your !@#$@#$ nuts) during times of war, is fair game. You want to spy? Spy. You want to trick people into surrendering? Go right ahead. You want to get nations from your direct allies to join in your fight? If they're willing, let them. What Poison Clan is doing is absolutely, 100% fine, you're just complaining because you didn't think of it first.

This is like people complaining about the whole peacemode tactics thing (which, let's be honest, has never been successfully used to win a war.) You just want something to complain about.

I'd just like to point out for the record that Rok are objectively losing. Rok started with 800k more NS, they now have 15k more and a huge top tier disadvantage.

Just thought I ought to inform the debate!!

Sunny Side King had been in our AA for about a week or two, at most. He wanted to fight NPO, and aid GOONS in the fight as well, so he ghosted our AA. It'd be sort of dumb to not accept his help, and at the same time, I didn't expect him to stay around. I've never talked to the guy, nor did he submit an application.

When you're at war, there's more pressing things at hand than worrying about people ghosting your AA.

Good one! I have the right to say anything I want. Have a problem with it?

Yes, I do. Amazingly enough, the issue was already solved in the backchannels prior to this blog post, which you would have known if you talked to Kait.

Actually, IRON did use peace mode to beat Grämlins.
