I give up

I won't lie..I was in shock when I saw the announcement when I woke up today......I have spent most of the day attempting to find a way I could justify the course of action that my former alliance has taken. In the current political climate I can't.

I furiously verbally attacked TOP for the same action that MK has taken.

I worked for 2 years to help get MK off the NPO black list, to prevent things like this from happening.

It all saddens me, if there is ever an alliance where the idea that the members don't speak for alliance policy only the leader does that was MK. However it seems Archon has been taking talking points from the outspoken and sometimes juvenile members. When I was in gov, we used to chastize Londo for his hair brained schemes to attack NPO. In fact, if I am to believe certain rumors, it was one of the reasons that Athens and MK originally split because people thought attacking NPO was not worth it. If it was bad then, why is it good now?

With this disappointment I will not do as others have and immediately switch sides and make them my enemy like Tyga and others have. This fight really has no bearing on me other than it puts my allies =LOST= in a terrible position due to MK's declaration on CCC.

I also won't deny that it isn't plausible that STA and Polar were deploying their allies in such a way as to stop Pacifica from getting involved. See STA treaty with TPF and Polar's treaty with Legion. However, paranoia is not an excuse for war and I do not condone preemptive strikes.

For those claiming MK has turned into an entity as bad as the NPO was, let me say this. YOU ARE FOOLS. You do not remember the lengths they would go through to roll an alliance or keep an alliance down. GPA, GATO, Legion, FAN...etc.....

I still have respect for GOONS. I am hoping I can bring myself to respect MK again. The game is not dead and you are not the judge jury and executioner. There was already no hope of the NPO to regain the power it once had and you are fooling yourselves if you think that was true.

This was a relatively rambling post but you all get the idea.

I wish you a good fight and hope you know what the hell you are doing because I haven't a clue.

There is many who held the Kingdom in high regard who are pretty much broken by the course of action Archon has taken. But yeah while this is no way as bad some of the acts perpetrated by Pacifica there is the fact that Karma was meant to wipe the slate clean for all and sundry (incl. Pacifica) yet here we are witnessing history being trotted out to justify a reprehensible act.

I believed in MK, I believed in Karma (Stupid and hopeless idealist that I am) and a part of me died when the principles we sought to usher in during Karma were casually disregarded with the utilization of a pre-emptive strike.

This was has been a set-up from the very beginning. From Day One anyone with a bit of commonsense could see that the NPO was the ultimate target.

The real question is: how many alliances were in on it?

I can't imagine that every alliance fighting against the NpO knew about this. I wonder how they feel knowing that their efforts so far have merely been a distraction from the real war; that they have merely been pawns in a game they didn't know they were playing.

NPO exceptionalism. Gotta love it.

So you are saying this is a setup? Really? How many wars in a row are we going to trot that theory out? I don't believe it was a setup. It definitely was a show of impatience from the Doomhouse alliances. And it cost them the good PR that they have enjoyed in the past. As Magical Trevor put it, wars are won on PR. Which is ironic given the DoW itself sapped what ever hope they had of gaining good PR out of the current situation. Up until now they had done relatively well at weathering the PR storm. This one, given their current posting styles and arrogant DoW is going to be one that is going to linger with them for a while.

It takes a long time to rebuild PR once you lose it. In many cases, you can never rebuild it.

Brother you have a long way to go

Denial

Anger

Bargaining

Depression

Acceptance

Repeating "it's a setup" over and over again until you believe it to be true is a definition of insanity. If you can show me evidence that this was a setup instead of just saying it I am more likely to believe it.

Sorry but if GR and whoever else didn't want us to roll CCC maybe they should have counselled them against attacking an MDoAP partner of ours. You don't get to turn around and cry foul over something like that.

While you are , in the coldest light of day, at least partially correct, you are smart enough to know, this coalition has teetered and tread carefully from day 1 concerning allies of allies and who can and should hit who, out of consideration and deference to varying treaty conflicts. And while your rationalization is not incorrect, it was a rather bad move ( and a move which your gov says , and I also believe, was an oversight and a mistake). If your gov acknowledges it as an oversight, it is disingenuous to lay blame at the feet of GR on this.

Well said.

I'm not laying the blame at GR's feet, I'm laying it at CCC's for attacking our ally first. The only reason I'm saying anything to GR is because they're the ones that are now upset that we dared to respond to our MDoAP partner's request for assistance. It was an awkward situation from the moment CCC entered the conflict. This is all as strong an argument for just picking a !@#$@#$ side and sticking with it as I've ever seen, quite honestly.

While I agree it was a set-up, the whole VE CB was fishy from the beginning, NPO wasn't the goal. NpO in and of itself was a nice little prize. You're right though, somewhat. After a few days it was clear this was going global, and once that was obvious a certain crowd turned its eyes towards NPO.

I've fought FOK before, I'm quite sure that they can handle CCC all by themselves.

I want you to sit quietly and think about this post for a few hours.

Yes we (FOK) asked assistance from MK the moment CCC declared on us. All our toptier was in anarchy so we needed help to counter the attacks. We are very happy with the quickness MK came in to defend us :)

SO some time has elapsed since the initial start of all this, do you feel any different AirMe?

I am still not happy with the initial declaration or how many MK members seem to be painting this as an endgame scenario for them. However, the opposition, once again has deploy in a manner to avoid taking damage. I suppose that is strategically sound, but it is cowardly.

It's not cowardice. Sitting in peace mode forever is called strategy or so I've been told. :awesome:

Cowardly?

The game has become utterly ridiculous because of us the players p-laying cowardly...

Alliances need to fabricate BS cb's to get the masses to swallow it before a war can even be started and you don't think that's cowardly?

This is a game at the end of the day and it should be treated like one...

The game needs a shift in the way it is played...I'm not saying this move we made is the shift but I hope in future alliances will actually "consider" (key word) pre-emptive strikes as a tool for engaging one another...
