Metamorphosis

Alfred von Tirpitz

Metamorphosis

It is supposed to be trying and tiring, full of strife and risk, still is supposed to be worth it because that which lies on the other side of the pain, is something glorious. Think, uncontrollable gluttony while at risk of being eaten, followed by dormancy and defenselessness for a caterpillar, followed yet again with the epic struggle to come out of the chrysalis, only to finally achieve the splendor of glowing wings and the ability of flight.

Of course, it does not account for the chameleon that just happened to be right next to the chrysalis.

It also does not account for the shock of seeing some of your fellow caterpillars now looking like chameleons.

No wonder the butterfly yearns sometimes for the clock to tun back.

But even butterflies fly aimlessly, facing the peril of aerial air, trying to not be swallowed by that dick of a bird, or becoming so infatuated with the tantalizing pollen it becomes addicting.

Ya know, I got a copy of The Metamorphosis by Kafka. Good stuff.
