Questions: Deal Breakers

I did a post about your "Price of Admission" (which is something about you that your significant other has to put up with) a while back. In that same line of thinking, what about another person are you not willing/able to put up with?

Stupidity.

And no, I'm not making this up.

Years ago, I put together a list of what my so-called 'ideal' mate would be like:

1. Tall, preferably 5'9" or higher.

2. Dark hair/pale skin.

3. Green eyes.

4. Good posture. (I hate slouchers.)

5. IQ of 120 or higher. (This isn't some random number. I picked this because 120 is the average IQ of a Canadian university graduate. )

The only things that aren't negotiable on this list are #4 and #5. Were that not true I wouldn't have dated a Chinese university prof for four years.

Physically I don't really have any deal-breakers or even set preferences, save for generally going for women on the thin side.

Stupid is definitely a deal-breaker, as is pronounced vanity, as is emotional instability...as much excitement as it brings to wake up in the morning and not know whether it'll be the happiest day of your life or involve the conversion of household objects into projectiles, after going down that road a few times it loses some of the appeal.

I can actually gauge how successful a potential relationship can be entirely based on her reaction to the book Agyar. The more she likes it, the better it's going to be.

That's probably weird.
