Longest consecutively serving leadership

A while back, I did some hunting around and compiled a list of the longest consecutively serving leaders still in office. It just occurred to me that grahamkeatley was #1 on the list. I thought I'd update it, unfortunately, I can't find the file that I saved it in, so I'll put down what I remember and look up the dates. If you know of someone I've forgotten or someone who would roughly be next down on the list, let me know. It'll be a lot easier if I just ask everybody since there are some long-serving leaders of relatively obscure alliances.

Rules:

A. This is not longest serving gov member. It is specifically for leadership positions.

B. The person must still be in office.

C. It is consecutive days in office. If they've been out of office at any point, start counting from the point they most recently came into the position.

D. It still counts if the alliance changed its name or charter, or if it merged with another alliance so longer as the person in question remained in the leading position of the alliance before and after with no break.

Current list:

1. Xiphosis - GOD - (February 24th, 2007)

2. Chuck Normis - CRAP - (April 11, 2007)

3. moshea - BAPS - (June, 2007)

4. Archon - MK - (July 12, 2007)

5. Delta1212 - RIA - (February 1st, 2008)

6. chefjoe - Valhalla - (February 23rd, 2008)

Notes:

i. Tyga would be #1 but he has taken time off from leading STA in the past.

ii. bigwoody was on the list previously, and is still currently Dear Leader of TORN, however, the Triumvirate now seems to be the actual leadership position of the alliance since their switch to the current government system.

iii. There is a really big gap between Archon and I, but I legitimately don't remember finding anyone between us. If you know of someone that I'm missing, please let me know.

Awaiting some confirmation on Opethian one way or another since the wiki has always been rather sparse on PPF details.

You're sharp, this is correct.

I can't really tell the exact situation around Tyga's breaks, but Archon also stepped down in all but name during a few periods in the last year.

Yes, but he never technically relinquished power, whereas Tyga actually did. Also, thank you RV, I think I remember forgetting to include Opethian the first time around and having to add him on later, as well.

Matt Miller, I'm not 100% familiar with how IRON's government functions, but I was under the impression that the President was the leader of the alliance, though I realize this is less clear cut in some alliances than others. Feel free to enlighten me.

The president of IRON Council is just a figurehead. They hold no more or less weight than any other councilor.

Do you remember when that was?

It was before the OWRP revamp. He was going on vacation or something and posted a thread that the toher guy was in charge. You know, it was just sort of lulzy since there was only two of them.

The problem with this friggin IPB 3 is that it only lets you search for crap up to a year old, so good damn luck if anyone ever needs to research anything. I'll screw around with Google and see if I can find it.

I thought that was a similar situation to what Archon has done and he said "I'm still the boss, but you're better off contacting Doc Octane if you want anything done in a timely manner"

As sapper already mentioned, IRON Council and the Presidency are together the highest offices. For years only Councilors had votes and the President did not. If this doesn't make your cut, so be it. This is a list that causes one to reflect on time spent, wouldn't you say? :)

I believe if we did longest serving democratically elected leader ECVI would still be #1. He served from October 2006 - March 2008. Any chance you have data on just democratically-elected leaders?

October 2006 - March 2008 would be 18 months. Delta has been Tri since February 1st, 2008 which would be 34 months and I've been Tri since August 10, 2008 which would be around 28 months and both of us are democratically elected. So he definitely wouldn't be number 1 in that category.

I've been democratically elected to the highest leadership position since February 1st 2009. Hence the FFFFFFF since my length of time served comes up sometimes in discussions and you can find the real dinosaurs here.
