OH GOSH NO ITS TOO MUCH DRAMA FOR ME, TIME TO MAINTAIN THE STATUS QUO

Bunch of insufferable, malcontent JACKASSES, that's what you all are.

People try to make drama and suddenly it's the end of the world, everything must be shut down, those rascals trying to add fabulous color into the game again could ruin our dull and gray world we've boxed up into.

I piss on that notion.

Bring on the color, bring on the funk. Got a grudge against somebody? Good! Go work on a way to attack them or get them rolled. Find an end you want, then go and stake for the means. Hate the establishment? Put down the tinfoil beret and start unifying. Like every side and don't hate anyone? Disband or join GPA. Kudos to the players who ARE moving things, shaking things, playing not to enjoy a comfortable but ultimately pointless existence stuck inside their own alliance's walls, but reaching and grabbing. Sometimes it backfires and you get burned. Sometimes you win.

Jesus christ, even I managed to start a war with less effort than most people are squandering hailing on the forums or the retarded wordslinging that is OWF.

Since everyone else is posting their thoughts about this I figured I'd go for it. Honest to blog.

Now if you excuse me, I have some business to take care of.

(And before I get the mouthbreathers huddling below in the comments, I actually like what MK/PB/NSO/Schatt/etc. have been doing. Stop crying bout nothing happening and start doing something yourself.)

I completely agree. Whenever I post my feelings on this, however, it usually gets disregarded by the 'other side' as propaganda or a PR campaign or part of some invisible hegemonist plot, so it's nice to see it from someone who can loosely be associated with that 'other side'.

Edit: I forgot to mention that, in my eyes, this line of thinking also applies to those in the dominant side who are content with enjoying the status quo and have an aversion to taking risks for the sake of fun. If I have any say in the matter (admittedly, I don't have much, with my self-imposed restriction to only low-level alliance positions due to time constraints), it won't be allowed to continue that way for much longer.

I recon its time to just do something... something right out of the box

Maybe just run a poll to vote for which alliance the OWF would most like to see rolled and then we should just roll the winner for laughs! It would give the moralists some ammo and we might actually see some decent sides emerge again. Ive got to give old school NPO some credit they did entertaining evil way better then us, the game would be healthier for someone to retake that persona.

Now if i understand what you are saying is that people shouldn't create drama over people making drama because it kills the "color" which according to you is the sounds exactly like drama.

In case you didn't realize that is the drama, people complaining against the actions of others is how drama is created people need a force to rally against and that force needs to do things in which other people will blindly complain about despite the legitimacy of the complaints.

Are you kidding? This game is full of action! There's always a thread to read on how nothing is happening and the game is dying, or about how terrible an alliance is for doing [insert Action Here]! I could stay content growing my nation while reading people complaining about boredom/stagnation and events/oppression all day!

The timidity that a lot of dominant-sided leaders are choking on is depressing. It's even worse when I look at the other sides/poles/etc and see no one willing to chance things. It falls to people like NSO to make the game what they want.

Unfortunately everyone else, who make up the bulk of complainers in regards to the status quo, are satisfied enough with the status quo to preserve it.
