Again a bit late, but whatever.

Brett Favre came into the stadium to a course of boos...again. Ironic because as I was watching this Sunday night, the camera went over to someone holding a sign that said something to the tune of "4ever Favre." This was one of those games that had me on the edge of my seat the whole time. I'm no recapper, so I won't try to go into all of the things that made me cheer or through stuff at my television. I will say this though. Maybe it's time for Favre to relinquish his games played streak (nearing 300 straight), since he did a lot of hobbling late in the game. I saw his post-game press conference and as he left the microphone, he had a highly discernible limp. It may be what, in the end, cost the Vikings the 28-24 game. Maybe it is time for Brad Childress to give Tavaris Jackson the start. I think that whoever the Vikings go with as the starting QB, they are in trouble given they (2-4) are headed next week to Gillette Stadium to face to New England Patriots (5-1).

But let's not lose sight of what is really important here, the Packers one and are again over .500. It wasn't a particularly pretty win (two picks and some red-zone messes), but they pulled it off. Unfortunately, we still have a lot of injury issues. In truth, we were rather lucky to come away with the win. A friend of mine (who I had told that I was watching the game) said he probably wouldn't bother, though he is a fellow Green Bay fan (I'm surprised at how many Virginians I have met who like the Packers).

It was an overall strange week in the NFL. I checked the scoreboards when I got home from work, and in half of the games at least, it was David beating Goliath, like the Saints losing to the Browns. Never in a million years would I have called that one.
