What specifically was good about the good old days?

As one that arrived in June 09 I hear that alot and I really do also believe that those of us that came in towards the middle/end of the KARMA War did miss alot of what made planet bob great. I still think there is alot to be had but not being here since the beginning ticks me off.

The Ideological Wars? An age when armies of RL Nazis and socialists/communists clashed in a series of epic wars resulting in the RL nation of Norway DoWing all of CN and trying to get it shut down? An age that ended with Norway's humiliating defeat and a massive Nazi-hunt (thus all the open socialists/communists today)? What about the CoaLUEtion that brought the NP/pO to their knees only for them to rise back up and claim domination over the world in a war that makes the Karma War seem like a side show at the hight of the game's popularity? What about the Epic struggle between the NAAC and NPO that lead to the NpO's creation? What about the Papacy Wars between Pope Pius and Pope New Hope or the spam wars between Pope Pius and Kanadian (thus his epic post count)?

Part of your first sentence is correct, and that's about it. It occurred in late December/early January of 2006/2007; there was no war going on at the time. One of Nordreich's recruitment videos on YouTube used the Norwegian national anthem; the Norwegian government objected and (I believe) asked YouTube to remove the video. Either they or the media did describe Nordreich as a neo-Nazi group. Nobody tried to get CN shut down, there was no community backlash - Stand or Die, an overtly Nazi alliance, was destroyed by Polar about a month or two later, but not as a result of the Norway incident. Nordreich itself disbanded four months later for reasons unrelated to the Norwegian government's opinion on their recruitment videos.
