Some would say that like the Weimar Republic, ruinous debt is slowly crippling the US, as is an artificial suppression of nationalist spirit by internationalists who want the US to feel responsible for all the world's ills. In such an environment in the Weimar Republic, political extremism on the Right and Left, and resulting violent clashes, led eventually for a desire for order from mainstream people and they sought out charismatic leadership that could restore order, a sense of national pride, and bring about an economic recovery.
