Update Numero Uno

Well, looks like I'm actually gonna start my own blog. Anyhow a few things to post.

1. A few buddies of mine, including myself, plays Left 4 Dead 2 on the Xbox once or twice every weekend, and we need 1 more member to fill in the spot. That being said, you will be forced to play as Coach or Rochelle, Rhaemyr and myself have dibbs on Ellis and Nick, and Pollard, we don't care about him. Anyhow, if you are interested, just send me a message, no real requirements of being good or not, I mean Pollard gets lost with red pipes and trees. Just be a cool guy or gal and have fun.

2. I've developed an interest in becoming an animator, the stuff they make are completely awesome, however I cannot draw anything, except stickmen, and I don't think sitckmen animations are that cool. Do I need to know how to draw to become an animator?

3. My fellow Tetris-blocks-things-peoples, wants me to post something about CN on the blog. So here it is.

I'll take 3 Million Dollars for Rice and cute girls, send money to my nation.

P.S - I am much better looking than Kean and Logan.

An animator is an artist who creates multiple images called frames and key frames that form an illusion of movement called animation when rapidly displayed. Animators can work in a variety of fields including film, television, video games, and the internet. Usually, an animation piece requires the collaboration of several animators. The methods of creating the images or frames for an animation piece depends on the animators' artistic styles and their field.

Other artists who contribute to animated cartoons, but who are not animators, include layout artists (who design the backgrounds, lighting, and camera angles), storyboard artists (who draw panels of the action from the script), and background artists (who paint the "scenery"). Moreover, voice actors, musicians and other talent may be added as necessary to give the animation additional depth.

Frostfirefox, have you seen the animation called Haloid?

I want to make something like that, though I'm not sure if I would take animation as a career choice, but rather something just to do for fun. Isn't there a way to just create the characters (Without drawing by hand, =P) using programs? Of course not just copying modules and using them but creating through programs.

And thank you for the information. =)

The maker of that video uses:

Poser 7 - Rendering, Animating, Rigging

Director MX - Compositing

Maya - Modeling

Particle Illusion - Particle effects

Adobe Premiere - Timeline, Syncing final output

Xnview - Image Conversion

I don't know how to use 90% of programs so I'm not someone to go to for tutorials, I use paper, maya, 3ds max, photoshop etc to make stuff, so just mess around with those programs, most are pretty straight forward, find online tutorials for the basics of the programs (no one knows how to use them until the creator teaches someone, or someone figures it out)

In the end, artistic ability is a huge plus, dealing with camera angles, composition, story etc., your work will turn out if you work hard, and patience is key

Thats all i can think of now, i have annoying talking people who never shutup nearby (headache)
