Lately I've been doing a lot of studying and I was wondering if anyone had the problem of not studying enough cause of CN? Do you feel that CN is negatively influencing your study or any other aspect of your real life?

For me personally it's not a big influence because I have always known when it's time to play games and when it's time to spend time on your real life. On the other hand, I've heard several people that were highly addicted to CN to the extent that CN interfered too much with their personal lives.

So is CN negatively influencing any aspect of your personal life?

Ever since i started playing CN 1 am for me is no longer 1am, it's update. Even in RL sometimes ppl are like what time is it? and I respond with 2 minutes til update. Then i get slapped. My roommates say i Have a problem with this game and need a 12 step program.

It would be a negative influence if it wasn't for the fact that if it wasn't for CN i would be wasting my time on something even less productive instead of actually doing anything.

Being in the high command channels of a coalition war is a huge timehog that absolutely wrecks me. I've gotten better at balancing everything at all other times, but that one's a killer.

That's pretty much my thought process.

This is indeed the case, leadership during wartime takes far to much time. The first week of Karma really had an impact on my RL for 2 weeks afterwards. I really didn't care for CN for over 2 months.

But last month I tried to take some time off from CN and spend more time at important !@#$ (studying). I realised that when not spending time at CN I was very able to find other !@#$ on the internet to SOG :P . So it probably has an impact, but that is a choice.

Oh so so true. Winter break during the WWE I had a mountain of work to do, instead spent 10 hours a day coordinating and planning a war that never happened, consequently fall weeks behind, try to get caught up over Feb break, instead spent 10 hours a day planning 2nd Unjust War. Now I'm 2 months behind with around 100 pages worth of term papers to write. And I'm still reading every thread on the OWF and commenting on this.

I can totally relate to this, I believe war is an absolute killer time for all high profile government members.

As you stated, there is a time to play games, and there is a time to live real life, I myself don't seem to have much of a problem deciphering between the two. When it does become a problem, then it's perhaps time to throw in the towel, or at least take a break.

Not recently. I haven't paid too much attention to CN. If I'm getting blitzed in real life, I realize that it's far more important than a blitz that's about to go down in Cyber Nations. Just ask yourself what you have to lose in real life, and what you have to lose in CN. Then when you must make a decision, the right one will be abundantly clear.
