Wow...just....wow...

Ok before I move any further on what I really want to post about I will admit...for the first time C&G played the rest of Bob...however how did they do it? By being less than open about it.

Basically, regardless of "lack of" this or that..this is my blog and hence I have my opinion of things. This is the Cit vs C&G war everyone has been waiting for. The kicker is, C&G (and crew) couldn't face Cit in a straight forward battle so formulated a plan to pull parts of it one way and isolate. Again this is speaking from a logistics standpoint a brilliant plan and my hats off to you all for pulling it off. But...

Where honestly does this leave Bob? There is no other major faction to take on C&G and hence we are right back to pre Karma with one group dictating what happens on Bob...the very thing that Karma and Co were against....

My question to NpO is where does this leave those that came to your aid? Are you working with YOUR allies to secure peace for those that stuck their neck out for you?

My question to Bob...whos next?

Pics or it didn't happen.

I've been hearing a lot of Death-Noteish ramblings about TOP v. C&G and I don't buy it. There was far too much that could go wrong - I get that we're the Tinfoil Hat Brigade on CN, but this is a little farfetched even for that. I'll happy rescind the comment if more proof shows up, but right now there's a lot of coincidence and conjecture, and that's not what I be lookin' for.

May be a lot of coincidence, but I have been involved in planning numerous wars, I have NEVER heard of an ally not even informing its allies of peace talks. Sorry but you can pic/screenshot all you want...I don't see ANY explanations from Grub and crew as to why they left those that came in to defend them hanging as they did.

This is after as late as last evening Grub basically begging folks from the coalition that had formed to come in and assist, this is after most of the day yesterday many in the coalition that had formed being unable to access war rooms on irc..sorry but I'm not buying it.

By all means btw..feel free to comment as long as it adds to the convo I have no problem with it.

18 pages? Greh. Looks like I've got some reading to do.

Eh. I'm not sure. I've planned a few wars in my time as well, and I never underestimate the stupidity of both my allies and my opponents. Love them all to death, but there's been some silly stuff that's gone on.

So far what I've gathered from Grub'n'co is that (some) people did have knowledge of the peace talks. I don't like the time it hit, and I don't like how it came down, but I still think people are attributing too much to machintations and not enough to blind luck.

Fair, and that is a possibility but this is very disheartening to many in regards to Polar relations. Going to be an interesting aftermath on this one.

Now that I definitely agree with. Regardless if this was a stroke of genius or a complete rooster-up of communication when someone wanted out, it was very poorly done. Telling the people who moved in to support "Well it's not our fault they agreed to the terms when you were all fighting lolololol111!one" is just frosting on the failcake.

just to point out against the conspiracy theories. NpO is not allied to TOP, IRON, DAWN, or TORN. Polar may very well have told all their allies they where discussing peace but for whatever reason the information never got to TOP/IRON in time. You also have to consider is that no matter how brilliant the people on CnG's side are they can't have forced TOP and IRON to declare war on them that was their own idea.

However, it is entirely possible that once IRON+TOP told Grub that they were planning a preemptive assault on C&G, that word got to \m/ allies and they told \m/ "Right, now we're getting what we want - peace out, agree to Grub's terms, NOW."

Actually I'd go from possible to incredibly likely.
