New CN User-Interface (UI)

A big problem that Cybernations has is it's unappealing look. I showed the game to a teacher of mine and she commented on how overly official and bland it was -- the game came across as more of a business than an actual game. The fact is, as much as we pride ourselves as thinking there is serious business in Cybernations it still remains a game. Therefore I have come up with some ideas for a new format for the game. These changes improve the aesthetics as well as the functionality of the game.

Tiles in Cybernations

This idea is partially inspired by SimCity. The basic notion of this idea is that your nation is organized by tiles. 1 Tile "cost" 10 infrastructure and 20 units of land, in the initial idea, it will most likely change. For every 10 levels of infrastructure and 20 miles of land you unlock 1 Tile. Tiles are used to designate zones and buildings. Weighted Alliance Score

Current Situation: The scoring system, while accurately portraying the physical strength of an alliance, it does not capture the things that the game goes not measure such as the virtue of its members, events in the game, etc. Solution: Create a bidding system where people invest in alliances. Investing weighs an alliance's score thereby more accurately measuring it's status. For instance we have GPA and TOOL, their scores are about equal at the moment, but given that GPA is a neutral alliance

Ideas on Government

C'mon, let's face it. Government is a disgrace. Government, which should be a larger part of the game, does nothing. It just causes headaches until you can get a Great Monument, and then you never have to deal with government again. This is a travesty on the highest level.
