The current paradigm of foreign affairs largely revolves around spheres. Spheres are just collections of alliances with multiple bilateral connections between them, which, to varying degrees, act according to some common interest or interests.
Sphereology is the term used here to denote the theoretical view of the world derived from this paradigm. In sphereology, the world of CN is made up of several spheres which encompass most of the major alliances.
A sphere is imprecisely defined. We
Edit: Not nearly as exciting as the title makes it sound. Ha.
I did this today. Sort of test run for some future artistic video stuff.
It took far longer to make the video, including the "soundtrack" I cobbled together than it did the silly "motor." And the video quality is what you would expect from a phone that is essentially a brick with a gerbil in it.
Turns out window's Movie Maker doesn't import mp4s, had to convert it, VLC Viewer kept crashing on the convert, got some crappy probably

Reason: awarded for participation in tough alliance wars (cumulative)
I know for certain that Rota is just going to come here and say, "JK, I was clearly joking." Even if he is just joking, I found these, and I think the world should also know about this, it's despicable

*I wrote this back in late April in my notepad in-game and thought i would share it with the public.*
I fear this day would come. Today may be the day of my surrender. For the last 3 days we have been engaged in a cold war, and although there have been no casualties, i feel like i have dies 8 times, only with one remaining. Is this a ruthless prank being held by the corrupt Sparta? I haven't a clue what to think. My alliance has no more than 10 loyal men, but may i trust them? I feel the
How many people in government, or who have previously been in government, actually play to win, using strategy to consolidate power? I've noticed a tendency of people becoming senior government and simply freezing themselves in position, opposing any sort of ambition. I think part of this problem is that OOC/IC lines have become blurred and people are afraid of being considered "power hungry" or overly ambitious.
For my part, I have no shame in craving power in an IC fashion. According to my id
This is a short story I wrote. It's called Sallie and it's basically a satire of the American higher education system; in particular the financial aid. The protagonist owes his crazy ex-girlfriend Sallie (as in Sallie Mae) money and she's willing to do anything to get it. I wrote it about a year ago and I would like if you would look at it. Leave reviews please.
Alright, I gotta tell you a story man. About this crazy broad named Sallie. I thought she was cool, but
It is, by far, the best of the individual MCU films. I didn't even expect it to be as good as it was, considering how average the first one was. The plot, action, and everything about the film was perfectly done. I also liked how they really showed off Cap's abilities. They made him look more badass as well. He wasn't as useless as he was in Avengers, nor was he as plain jane as he was in the first Captain America movie. I'm probably going to get killed for saying this, but Captain America: TWS
The Steelseries failure cost me a further 60 dollars today, to ship back to the UK. They sure as hell better find the bloody fault and refund that !@#$.
The replacement turns up tomorrowish I hope, an Audio Technica ATH AG1.
after much deliberation due to strength of schedule, the 1st pick of the 2014 CN draft was given to....
DoomSquad. And they, of course, picked the charming Rey the Great, Linebacker from the University of $%&@ Off
On today's Planet Bob, merger is seemingly more common among established alliances, instead of just recently established micros. The reason for this is simple entropy, despite the fact that I believe CN to have a decent amount of life left in it, the older alliances become, the more likely it is for them to go into decline, a state which often leads to merger. It takes a lot more effort to keep an alliance going for five years than it does for one year, so it is significantly less likely for a
I am looking for the most interesting, provocative, or creative message.
I spent 3 years in CSN as the minister of $%&@, a diplomat, and all around pain in the ass.
I 993 days in NPL as the Warhead of Foreign Affairs, the Warhead of Communications, the Deputy Prime Minister, and Trium. Still an all around pain in the ass.
I have left NPL for reasons given to NPL membership.
So. Go ahead. Recruit me.
I meet this Russian Kid recently, and who knew, he likes to drink! So we get along swimingly, and last night we drank through two bottles of whiskey, and a 24 beers, and played poker. While I ate left over white castle, which is ten times better than having white castles as soon as it comes out, it's not as greasy, so guess who is going to just wait till the next night to eat it all the time! I was also teaching him how to say slang words in English, and he was teaching me how to say !@#$ in Rus
This will be the first in the Wow So Meta series of entries. Wow So Meta will talk about the talk that occurs all the time on the CN forums. This entry will be on why outrage is so alluring.
One thing that really struck me is how much crap gets a great deal of attention, views, and comments. Of course, it's no secret that controversy breeds interest, but many topics and blog posts on these forums aren't particularly controversial but also aren't particularly well written, important, or inter
So remember when I brought that Steelseries thingy? It's already !@#$@#$ broken. Turns out Steelseries make their components out of !@#$, so the right earmuff doesn't deliver any sound any more. I'd simply get it replaced, but it's not particularly comfortable for extended wearing sessions. So I'm gonna try and get a refund.
The frontrunner now for replacing it is the Audio-Technica ATH-AG1, and I'm honestly not sure what else I'd actually get in its place.
With all the (frankly inane) talk of revolution on Planet Bob, it almost seems no one has no noticed the "Quiet Revolution" that started last summer. This revolution has fundamentally changed the very concept of alliance sovereignty.
In the past, alliance sovereignty had merely two components: recognition by other sovereign alliances, which occurs implicitly through such actions as signing treaties and exchanging ambassadors, and de facto control over a territory (i.e., an AA). With the int
